Very sturdy and durable
Love this strainer. It’s Canning season and it’s so easy to use to clean my vegetables. It doesn’t take up the entire sink (and I like that) as you can see in the picture. It will fit in the smaller section of the sink if you turn it sideways, which is extremely convenient. It’s very durable and the mesh is flexible, but not fragile. The hole size is good enough for vegetables and also good enough for rice but I wouldn’t put something in it like quinoa. The handles do flex a little bit because they go inside of a tube when it’s not in use. Great little contraption I highly recommend. It does take up a little bit of storage space because it does not collapse, but no more than a regular colander.

YOU NEED IT
Buy it!! I’ve dealt with a small colander bowl for too long and impulse bought this while making dinner one night. I do NOT regret. It’s not flimsy and easy to clean. Held up on the bottom rack of the dishwasher. Slides extend very far. Put my hand under for size reference.

Fantastic but holes are too big for rice
This strainer works great! I love how the rubber on the handles prevents my sink from getting scratched. It also can be washed quickly and easily in the dishwasher. My only complaint is that the holes are a little bigger so our rice tends to fall through it.

Great Addition to My Kitchen!
I’m really happy with the U.S. Kitchen Supply Stainless Steel Colander Strainer. The 6‑quart size is perfect, and the collapsible design with expandable sides works great with my large sink. It’s exactly what I was looking for. I love that it can stand on the counter without tipping over, and the large surface area makes draining pasta, washing produce, and rinsing larger batches really easy. Cleanup is simple too—the stainless steel and silicone wash up quickly with no fuss. Has good grip that helps keep it in place. Overall, it’s sturdy, practical, and very convenient. Highly recommend!
