I'm wiring this into a rocker switch in my SxS and I'm glad I checked the leads for continuity before attaching the winch. When I connected the red post of the solenoid to my positive pole of the battery and the black post of the solenoid to the negative pole of the battery both the yellow and the blue posts became hot. After HOURS of checking cabling and looking for a solenoid circuit drawing (Tyrannosourus support is useless so far) I finally found the one that I posted here. The yellow and blue post are always supposed to be connected to the negative and only get positive power when either post 1 and the common are closed or 2 and the common are closed. Right now I'm getting in on yellow and out on blue. I'll get my winch mounted tomorrow and find out if that is correct. Good luck. ... show more

This winch has pulled me (and several of my buddies) out of the mud a couple of dozen times now. I even winched a Jeep out of the mud with a couple of snatch rings, so I'm pretty confident this winch can handle just about any situation I could imagine needing it. It just does the job

The 5000 lb winch is longer than advertised on the listing. It's closer to 16 inches so I sent it back. I put 3 stars across the board because of this.

    • Winch looks good quality
The winch itself looks to be good quality and the accessories also look great. The problem is the fairlead mounting plate is very wide, too wide to be installed on most UTVs. I have both a Kawasaki and a Polaris that the plate won’t fit even though it’s advertised for ATV/UTV. I suppose you could cut it down if you have the means. And there is no way the winch is going on nearly any ATV. I like the look and quality of the winch but have no choice but to return it. ... show more
