I am not a very tech savvy person, but I just purchased an iPad Pro 12.9 and ordered this keyboard to avoid spending over $300 on Apple’s smart keyboard. The keyboard itself is very easy to use, and I feel like I basically have a MacBook again. I love the color options, and I really enjoy the dark purple “raspberry” color of this keyboard. It folds nicely and fits into a 13in laptop sleeve without issue. The keyboard and the iPad Pro together are pretty heavy, but I really feel as though it is high quality. I highly recommend this keyboard if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to the smart keyboard. ... show more

This replace an otter box that the company provided. Everything about this type cover is better than expected. Except one thing…it’s kinda chunky. Pound for pound it is about even with my little 13” Dell. I have found the best use is to use the stand and typewriter to write reviews like this one. If I am just reading, (kindle, e-reader) I pop the I pad off and use it loose. My IPad may be exposed when it is away from the stand, but it’s nice not having a chunky box on it. ... show more

I bought this to replace my apple Magic Keyboard as the tilt hinge is starting to fail (2 years old.) This keyboard case looks nice, it isn’t leather so I can take it into a cleanroom environment and meets my expectations from its description. Pros: The keyboard has a lot of extra keys I didn’t have on the apple Magic Keyboard. The battery life seems amazing (other reviews also mention this with up to 2 months between a charge) probably why the added weight. The tilt hinge gives me the angles I want. It works with Moft snap case (which is a thin plastic cover for the iPad that adds an Apple Pencil holding slot) and still stays magnetically attached to the case. The keys feel good, they aren't cherry switches but they aren’t too noisy and have a good feel. The f and j home bumps are big enough that you easily find home for your finger. The touchpad works well when needed. Cons: No mag safe charging for your iPad when charging the keyboard, this is known and clearly listed as not a feature in the description and questions. Backlit keys stay lit when closing the case for about a minute and a half. Not too horrible but distracting in meetings or at night when you close it for bed. Cannot get the iPad to lock with the keyboard shortcut. Manual says Fn + Del= screen lock/unlock. This isn’t working for me on my iPad Pro (2021) Touchpad disable is not stored to memory, each time you power up the keyboard the touchpad is enabled by default. Backlit keys are off by default when powered on, not restored on power up to previous setting. Heavy, this is much heavier than my Magic Keyboard, mostly due to that keyboard drew power from the iPad, and this one had a battery. Still would like an escape key for when remoting to a windows machine. Overall I am very happy with this keyboard, I took off one star for the weight, lock/unlock not working and no escape key (not mentioned anywhere that I found that it was or wasn’t available) I hope this review is helpful for future buyers. ... show more

I love this keyboard. It's sturdy. It's designed right. It's heavy. But we like the sturdiness the weight provides. We don't travel with it. I might feel differently if I did. My only complaint is that I bought the pink keyboard and the lettering is a soft gray that almost perfectly matches the pink color. It looks beautiful but isn't super functional for 50 something eyes. Hubby and I both need reading glasses these days and we absolutely can not see the lettering on this keyboard with the backlighting off. We considered returning it but since the backlight fixes our problem we decided to keep it. We thought the backlight would wear out the battery but it doesn't seem to. I would say that if I were to order today knowing what I know now, I would order the black keyboard that has white lettering on it. I will also share that I exchanged some emails with Customer Service and they were really great. They were responsive and eager to help. I highly recommend this keyboard. ... show more

I like the colors. I like the compact form, but not the black keys. Over all, I would have kept the Magic keyboard folio if it had come in colors other than black and white. When I got this, I returned an Apple magic keyboard. I purchased this to compare, and in the end, could not justify the extra $200 for the convenience of wireless charging. However, that's not the only difference I've noticed. Much to my dismay, I have observed that the iPad does not attach firmly to the magnetic case. It repeatedly falls off during use and the position doesn't readily adjust. In all, I can't wholeheartedly recommend this item, though unlike what someone else said about it, it is definitely not trash. However, I will have to be extra careful with it. I may return this one if they cannot offer a suitable exchange. My magnetic pencil stays on the iPad until the case is closed. Then, all bets are off. Of course, there's no "find my pencil" feature on the iPad, so this new tool is just gone. ... show more
