This product is perfect for the laptop-like iPad experience that Apple is pushing with the Magic Keyboard case. This product probably compares to the magic keyboard around ~80-85% while the cost is around 30%, now that's great value for me. You don't get the floating iPad or the ease of putting it on and off but in return, you get something that's more protective and able to adjust to any angle you want. Overall there are a few things to nitpic, sure, but given the price, I can't really deduct its value. Keyboard -The keyboard typing experience is surprisingly strong. I enjoy typing on it mostly (writing this review now) . it's a tad smaller than normal keyboards so it took a bit of time to get used to but overall a very good typing experience. The keyboard lights are a bit weak but work well during nighttime for night typing. Touchpad -Same as the keyboard, feels very good but also a tad small so a bit to get used to as well. Apple has various shortcuts and everything seems to be supported. Also because of these shortcuts, I had to get used to not doing motions around the edges. The clicking on the trackpad did feel a bit on the cheaper said but I've always been a touch vs click on the touchpad person so it doesn't bother me at all. Design - Design is a bit bland and the whole thing is plastic-ish, can't really blame it for the price (something's gotta give) but gladly there isn't any ugly logo or whatnot either. Put a few stickers on it and have no issues with how it looks. Bluetooth -Have no issues so far, one nitpick is the status light and on/off switch is both on the keyboard itself so you have to open it to access them, would have preferred them to be on the side so they can be accessed when closed. The battery seems good, I use it lightly here and there and it lasts about a week before needing a charge. Overall great for the price ! ... show more

A great functioning trackpad keyboard and cover at a great price considering the $299 apple magic keyboard with trackpad and the $179 Smart Keyboard without the trackpad! This keyboard supports all of the apple shortcuts I can find with nice responsive keyboard. The backlight is real nice and the trackpad is pretty good also. The cover wakes up the iPad instantly and the keyboard will sync to the iPad in a few seconds if the cover is open. Battery life is impressive with days of use at about 3 hours a day. The one thing that could be improved a bit is the hinge. Though it is solid enough and closes firmly, on a surface other than a table the iPad wobbles a bit. But for such a great price its a minor fault. Ive been using this for nearly 2 months without any issues at all. ... show more

This product received 4/5 stars for the following reasons (TLDR at bottom): 1. Return/replacement process was easy. I returned the first case I ordered due to the keyboard having a couple lights not working on it. I later found out all the keyboards have this issue, including different colors. It’s a pretty small difference so I’ve come to accept it because of reason 2 2. Overall sturdiness is there. It looks and feels like a laptop that’s a tad harder to open. I’ve had it for about a month now and it’s still holding strong. The range of motion is as advertised, just remember it may be top heavy at certain angles. 3. As for looks, it’s not very pretty to look at. The colors remind me of 2000’s girl toys, except for the black. Wish they had more neutral options. It’s a great canvas to decorate how you’d like though, be it stickers or paint. 4. Security of holding the iPad in seems to be good. Haven’t had it fall out yet, but noticed when I got my replacement that it fit a little looser than the previous case. So of the one you order is loose, I’d recommend trying a replacement one. 5. Battery. The battery life so far is great on this, I remember to shut off the keyboard during long periods of inactivity. Also the components, I assume not just the battery, cause the case itself to be heavy. It’s about double in weight of the original iPad, which helps solidify the point that it feels like a laptop 6. User interface. Everything has worked how it should with each of the ones I’ve ordered. But the way it works may confuse some people when it comes to changing the keyboard brightness, color, and pulse options. The manual given with the keyboard helps you completely and I recommend not throwing it away if you are less tech savvy. 7. Keyboard lighting is great. They have lots of cool color combinations, though I thought the multicolor settings would move left to right. Not a deal breaker at all, especially since the color combos they do have look amazing static. The keyboard brightness of definitely bright enough and you can dim it down two more notches as well. 8. If you have an iPad screen protector you might have a little bit of a challenge with the rotating bottom holders that secure the iPad in. I don’t like the idea of these and they’ve lifted up my screen protector a couple times when I accidentally move them. They make me worry they will scratch the actual iPad corners too. But it holds the iPad in well so far, which means they are working. 9. I never use the Apple pen holder and it kind of looks out of place on the design. I did test it out though, and it works really good. You’re not losing your pen to nothing. 10. As for answering how protective this case is, I feel like it’s better than I thought it was going to be. Yes it’s thin hard plastic, so it’s not going to function like an otter box, but I think it’s good enough for people who know how to handle their iPads. Even as a clumsy person who’s never had an iPad before and drops it from heights less than a foot on at least once a week, it’s kept it protected. TLDR Battery great, cheaply made but functions very well, range of motion is as advertised and very sturdy, protection is decent, Apple pen holder is great, cool keyboard colors but may have one or two keys on top left corner the light doesn’t turn on (not too noticeable), easy replacement process, available case color choice isn’t cute so just go with black if you’re unsure. ... show more

Thanks for the great customer service. ——————————————————- I bought this keyboard 7 months ago. It worked great but now the keyboard locks up in the upper case only. Using show keyboard on iPad some times unlock it. Instead of numbers you get alternate symbols etc. How do I get the support for this product? Is there a website or a phone number? ... show more

Disappointed the case frame near rotation broke within one year. All the functions worked great, no issues with the keyboard function. I would have given 5 stars if it did not break so quickly. I use iPad daily at work.
