I had one light like for my prior iPad. I ordered a case from a different manufacturer -- a beautiful purple color and it has 2 white bumper things on the side and did not close. This one has bumpers on the bottom and the case lies flat. It is perfectly secure and when you close it lies flat. I would have liked a deeper purple, however, the fit and functionality is more important. It pairs easily. On my older version, I did not use the touchpad too much. On this one the touchpad seems pretty good. Also the hinge works very well no sticking and you do not hear any bending when putting it in different positions. I have a glass protector on mine and it was no problem fitting it in the case. Love it!

Love this addition. Started a new job that uses ipads and i hate typing on touch screens unless its a phone. keyboards are way better. the color looked more shiny so i assumed at least a faux metal finish but its matte plastic. The metal gave me hopes for sturdiness or quality so i chose it over a similar black one without the hinge. As a 6 foot guy fixing things the purple looks like a kids toy. The case does not provide much in terms of protection if it falls you should expect to be buying a screen. It fit very snugly around my ipad it was a bit of a struggle to get it in there. The pencil slot is not great. It holds well enough but doesn't make me feel secure I expect over time it will loosen and no longer hold my pencil. I will give it some slack because i technically am not using an apple official pencil however i did measure it and the dimensions match what apple advertises. I would assume it would work the same with an official. Lastly the hinge. The entire reason I bought this was the hinge it is so convenient swapping from ipad mode to placing it on a table to fill out notes in a customers home. It makes me look more professional and I save time taking notes. However the plastic hinge bows a bit and i can definitely feel stress on the ipad if i don't properly support it while i shut it after a rotation. If i were to upgrade anything first it would be a better hinge. I don't know if its work the $60 price tag but it is functional and a worthwhile upgrade that makes my job a little faster and easier. Pros: Convenient typing for data input RGB turns off Trackpad gives good pinpoint control when typing Battery power seems decent (Without RGB on I have not tested with rgb n) Cons: Pencil holder is loose Rgb looks cheap probably could make it cheaper with just white backlighting. Case provides no drop protection Photos show shiny finish in samples but its matte plastic Hinge feels cheap and is not long for this world
