I have used 5 star spirals for the past 20 years and have always found them to be durable and spacious enough for my over-zealous notetaking. 40 pages per section is just enough to cover a semester's worth of notes. As a tutor, I have to review subject matter every couple of years to keep it fresh in mind, especially when a tutoring center has a majority of students focusing on lower-level math subjects. And this is honestly my preferred way because I just remember it a lot better. Plus the pockets are just something that you can't beat. These are sturdy And has tons of paper for all your subjects personally I only use them 4 subjects because I have to take a LOT of notes and I write very large. I have a lot of classes that will require heavy note taking this coming school year so I'm so glad I got this. Having 5 notebooks worth of paper consolidated into one notebook is very convient and will help me stay consolidated. The folder pockets dividing the book into 5 parts are double sided, and capable of holding a generous amount of standard 8.5x11 sheet papers, which is nice. However..... I know that this is a incredibly superficial thing to complain about, but my front cover was really scratched up - despite being fresh out of the package. It looks much worse than how a notebook out of an in person store would look, despite the fact that people will often grab and look through the notebooks, especially the bigger ones like these.
