  • Perfect little tv
My dog injured her leg, and so we had to move ourselves downstairs to the first floor (I know...) to keep an eye on her and keep her company during her rehabilitation and healing. One of the things I wanted was a tv to watch in the camping bed we'd set up. I got this little unit, and boy! It's terrific! I got one of those antennas you tape up on the wall, and this thing picked up LOADS of stations. Next, I got my Amazon Fire Stick and got my cable happening. I was all set! I kept the tv plugged into power, so really didn't get to test the battery power, but the picture was fabulous, easy to see. If I had any complaint at all, it would be for the remote. There are a HUGE number of buttons, hard to see, and they aren't separated into any kind of rational groups. Fortunately, all I really needed was to turn it on and off, but it would be nice to make that remote a lot simpler to use. Other than that, though, if you're using a Fire Stick that remote won't be an issue anyway. It's a great little tv, and would be perfect where space is tight, like an RV or in a living room camping (LOL!)... ... show more

  • 10” Rechargeable Tv
Great little tv with fantastic picture and sound. It was very easy to set up and scan the channels in. It also has an FM radio that is easy to scan in. Has a very sturdy stand and two antennas and all the cables. I highly recommend this item.

  • Good little battery tv
Better than I thought would be. I was hoping it would receive couple major local stations to get news. Bought because went thru hurricane Helene last yr, n power outages keep increasing. With the little antenna's come with it I get them and more. But I can hook up to my rooftop antenna and get all the channels I get on my 55" , without power. Yes its small, but has a good picture and better sound than i expected. 1 con , no battery meter, no way tell how batt life used/ left. ... show more

  • Tuner soon to be useless.
I was not informed that the digital tuners in these tests are to be soon tuned out for new updated tuners. The tuners in this and other portable digital TV are basically useless around cell and wifi signals. Constant interference is a big issue. The govt will phase out these tuners and we will have to get updated digital tuners. I was disappointed after learning this after purchasing this TV but why buy a product that will soon be discontinued (tuner). You could still use it as a monitor via the home but that's wasn't my reason for buying it..I wanted OTA content but obviously Free OTA has become another form of expensive digital streaming now with next generation 3.0 tv. The ATSC 1.0 digital tuners in this TV are being ruled out just like analog tuners were. ... show more

  • GOOD LITTLE MONITOR WITH LIMITATIONS
I was on the hunt for a small monitor with HDMI input to view video for Zoom services. The intent is to use a monitor only with a TV tuner for use at home. Since this was on my own budget, I went for the Tyler 10" TV that would satisfy the use as a monitor and a TV for home. I've used this monitor with a Canon VIXIA HF G50 and the Canon D60. Set-up: This is very easy. As soon as the unit is plugged in and turned on, the menu options rolled along. The are plenty of options but my main ones I'm using are TV and HDMI. Channel Capture: I live less than 2 miles from the Sutro Tower in San Francisco and in using the supplied wired antenna, I am able to capture all the stations with its sub-channels which equals to hundreds of channels. It reaches to San Jose for the NBC channels. Those with channel limitations need an amplified antenna. It is the antenna that captures the signal. The better the antenna, the better the TV station signals. You can't blame the TV for poor signal reception. I've scanned the radio signals and there are a lot of them. I don't plan on using the radio feature any time soon. Sound: Yes, the sound is tinny since the speaker is very small and it is built into a very small space. I'm connecting this to a Bose Soundlink speaker. I'm also using the Sony noise cancelling headsets. You can't adjust the tone levels but the overall sound is fine. Picture: This is okay for the price point of a portable TV. It is not an high quality HD monitor but serves my purpose for targeting video (especially for the price). The picture is clear and the color is accurate (via test pattern). Build quality: The exterior and screen is all plastic. This can be easily scratched but with careful handling and regular cleaning it will be better cared for. The stand attachment is good but really light. That's not a deal breaker. But be aware of how you are handling it since it is a fragile piece of equipment. I'm using a neoprene case to transport the TV. Battery Life: I did a battery run and it is hitting over 2 and a half hours. I imagine it can go further and have not tried to fully drain the battery. I'm intending to use this plugged in although running the battery will help its longevity. Remote control: This is small and there are a lot of buttons. The remote is full function and the controls are also mirrored with the control buttons on the TV itself. No issues here. If the limitations are not a deal breaker for you, the Tyler TV is a decent all-on-one portable TV monitor. For a professional portable video monitor for critical use, use a good monitor. But on my own budget and wanting to use this as a monitor as well as to use this at home, this is a great alternative. Have fun! ... show more

  • Best of the old and the new!
Remember the days when we had little portable TVs to take with us to watch the football or baseball game? Using an antenna and watching for free? Isn't that why we suffrred through the commercials! Now we pay and still get the commercials. This TV has a great picture, it's super light and portable and in my area I get almost 20 channels (for free!). My main use was going to be on my patio (has a rechargeable battery included) while in the hot tub but my wife kind of stole it from me to use on her desk to keep her company while she works. Maybe I'll have to buy another one? It can be used as a radio, you can turn the picture off and just listen to your TV program (extend battery life?) and comes with a bunch of connectors if you want to get more technical with it. I like it nice and simple but it's nice to have the options. ... show more

  • Everything works great except to ability to use a USB drive for photos or music
Nice tv for the cost, nice power failure backup. Antenna works well and I was able to tune into 34 stations. LCD display is OK, but not high resolutuion, colors then to over saturate. Still very nice as a backup.
