  • Just as good as the $400+ brands!!!
Color: Black Size: Smooth Textured
I installed these on my 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4x4.... Conclusion- I had already removed the badges/emblems from my truck years ago. You will have to remove/relocate the HEMI badge for these. I am VERY happy with the outcome of these flares. In all, flares and paint, I am into them less than my buddy spent on his big brand flares, that look identical to me, and his aren't even painted. I know paint cost varies by location but I went to the same shop my dealer uses for body repair so I am confident the paint will hold up. Only time will tell how the flares themselves do but I would recommend them even though they affect the badges, if you have them. Packaging - The box was smashed in on the side. Nothing was damaged and everything was accounted for. One recommendation to manufacture would be to add a block of foam to fill void in the center of box or stuff with shipping paper. Each flare was wrapped in bubble wrap and easily identified. Product - My buddy had purchased another, well known, brand and spent a little over $400 on his. I helped him install them on the same type of truck as mine. I compared these to his and side by side I could not tell a difference. Aside from his being on his truck, unpainted, for a few hundred miles. These Tyger flares were very very hard to tell apart from his. I would say I didn't notice a difference but others may. The rubber strip that goes against the truck looked the same and the installation method was the same. The Tyger flares do not use all of the holes that are in the fender well. This would be the only change I would recommend but never the less the seal was good and tight. I opted to take these and get them painted to match my truck. (The auto body shop I took them too even confused them for the more expensive ones.) The shop told me they sealed them, applied a flex coating and then painted and cleared coated them. There was no problem getting anything to adhere to the material the flare is made of. The result was an OEM looking paint job on them. Install Prep - I brought them home and let them sit a few days before I had time to install them. I opted to paint the bolts and flat washers gloss black (they are real metal bolts and washers, not sure if they are stainless). I prepped and painted them with rattle can high heat BBQ grill paint. You are supplied with a Torx bit for the head of the bolt. I had initially planned on using blue thread locker on the bolts (we did on my buddies more expensive flares because the bolts kept coming loose.) I was happily surprised that the supplied nuts with the Tyger flares were nylon lock nuts. So I did not use thread locker. The bolt install was slow, mainly because I went slowly so that I did not chip the paint on the bolt or dimple the paint on the flare by over tightening. It was very easy to do though. The rubber seal was the worst part. Not because it was unusually difficult but the process is slow. I felt the provided instruction covered the process adequately. I would only add do the two rear flares first. This way you get a fell for how it works and there are no cuts needed like on the fronts. Be careful I was concerned I wasn't going to have enough rubber seal to complete all four flares. I DID have enough but there was only about a four inch piece left over. So there is little room for error. Install on Truck - The supplied instructions were adequate for this as well. I had to remove a couple extra factory wheel liner screws that weren't in the instructions but this was to be expected due to the slight variations in make, model, and year of the trucks. It did not affect the fitment at all and was easy to spot using some common sense. The seal was tight all the way around the flares. No gaps and they fit the body lines perfect. ... show more

  • Looks great. A few tweeks and this would be an easy 5 star product
Color: Black Size: Rugged-Textured
These arrived today and I was able to put them on my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. 4.7L Bighorn in 2 to 3 hours. The instructions are super basic but give enough info to work through the first one and breeze through the others. I was surprised at the installation of them. I was thinking there would be more. And there kinda should be. My honest opinion is, they are worth slightly less then the $125 I paid for them. These literally get held into place just by the screws (and a few of the included ones) that hold the wheel well to the fender and thats it. So the top part doesnt attach in anyway. I was expecting some double sided sticky tape at least. I mean if it works for the plastic rain guards over your windows, why wouldnt it work for these? That just seems like a no brainer to me. AND it would prevent these from rattling against the fenders. Thankfully, the ones I got were molded really close to the fender shapes. So hats off to them for that and the huge box they came shipped in. But there is a little gap here and there and when I tapped the flares, they did rattle a bit even despite the rubber trim they include. If you are frequently driving down gravel roads with washboards, I dont know if they would rattle enough to be heard... I read a review were someone complained about the fake hardware along the top, scratching their paint. I did a test fit on the first one and they will indeed rub on your paint if you're not careful. I put little squares of duct tape on each bolt to prevent any scratching. They really should find a different way to do this. This is an area they could save some money and pass that onto the customer. Some good things. They add enough hareware to get the job done. The clips they add are not close enough to be held on the metal fender, but they add little squares of rubber tape that hold them in place for you. They are plastic but seem to be of a good quality. The finish on them is consistent and look good. I run 33x12.5 mud tires and to my surprise, these actually stick out a bit past the tires. Which is the main reason I bought them in the first place. Hoping now to keep the mud off my side mirrors. Overall not a bad product. A few tweeks with the nuts and bolts and adding a place for some double side tape, even though that would make installation a pain, would push these into the price range the sell at. I shopped around a bit and picked these over the others for the quality. Im glad I paid a little extra because these look really really good on my truck. ... show more

  • Fit well, easy to install.
Color: Black Size: Rugged-Textured
Fit well, easy to install. You might want to add a couple drops of superglue behind the rubber seal every couple of inches to help it from peeling back. I had a small issue getting the rubber to stay on while I was installing (middle of winter) I had to use a heat gun to heat up the rubber seal and stretch it straight before I put it on the guards then it stayed. ... show more

  • Outstanding value!
Color: Black Size: Rugged-Textured
I bought a truck for $6K and decided to mod it on the cheap. I ordered these fender flares mostly based on price as they were WAY less money than most of the others. I was prepared to be disappointed given the price point but hoped for the best. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find out these were high quality, including the hardware, the instructions were clear and thorough, the install was straightforward and the fit and finish are excellent! I would recommend these to anyone looking to add some quality fender flares to their truck regardless of budget. ... show more
