Description

To restore your vehicle's factory cooling efficiency, all TYC radiators are equivalent to OE construction for number and placement of fluid tubes and cooling fins. For those radiators with transmission oil coolers, the tanks are molded using heat-resistant, high-density polymer plastic for added protection against extreme engine temperatures. Each TYC radiator is leak-tested before leaving the factory to ensure consistent quality.

Radiator works great, but make sure to check all fittings are tight before installing! Also, I learned this months later, but make sure to run the heater for about 10 minutes after install and filling the new radiator. Had the old one out and new one in, it took about an hour. Lifted the fan assembly and set aside. Toughest part was reinstalling the lower radiator hose clamp. Otherwise it was a breeze.

    • These are easy radiators to replace
I purchased this for my 2004 Pontiac Vibe (FWD, base 1.8L) to replace the OE radiator that had started seeping from one of the seams (and at just over 190k miles on the original radiator, it was bound to happen sooner or later!) Amazon got this to me quick as usual. This radiator is 100% identical to the OE radiator I pulled out of my Vibe. These are easy radiators to replace; drain the radiator, remove the 2 bolts that hold the fan / shroud to the radiator, unplug the fan and remove the 2 wiring harness clips and finally disconnect the overflow bottle. The fan / shroud assembly slides up and out of the way. Remove the 2 tranny lines (for an automatic) and the upper and lower coolant lines (I *HIGHLY* recommend purchasing a set of hose clamp pliers if you don't have them already, the spring clamps on this GM'Yota's are a pain to work with). Finally remove the bolt in each of the two hold down brackets on the core support. Put it all back together in reverse. Also if you don't have one, there is no easier way to bleed the air out of a cooling system than the Lisle 24680 spill free funnel (http://www.amazon.com/Lisle-24680-Spill-Free-Funnel/dp/B00A6AS6LY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418152278&sr=8-1&keywords=no+spill+funnel&pebp=1418152296529). I know I've saved probably hundreds of hours with mine. Amazon has a great price on them, too. ... show more

    • Not OE Fitment
Radiator fan no longer bolts into radiator because the screw holes don’t line up. Vehicle for reference is an 03’ Corolla. The radiator fan will still be able to stay in place without the screws because of how it sits on the radiator but the bolts add extra security. The radiator nubs on the bottom do sit well in the vehicle however the metal holders on top for the radiator now have to be canted because the plastic inserts built into the top of the radiator are too far apart. Radiator performs well and keeps car at operating temperature, it just isn’t an exact fit like advertised. Please fix this Fitment issue for future customers. ... show more
