This scope performs as described. The camera is clear and it takes good, but not great, pictures. The attached photos show the quality out of the box along with the default date/time. The light is adjustable for whatever condition you may be working under. The rigid portion of the cable works great, holding shape and going where you want it to go. The top two inches of cable is flexible to allow for the repositioning of the camera. This is a little less useful as its position easily moves if you tap something when positioning the cable. In the one image attached I was looking for a small tube in a grommet under the cabin sandwiched between the car and the transmission; I found the tube, but I wasn't able to do anything with the cable. The hook attachment made the cameral largely useless and as I stated, when you touch something the flexible end moves, making it almost impossible to use the hook for checking the tube. The kit includes ample memory for photos and/or video that will allow you to work continuously without having to worry about offloading images. Overall, I like the borescope and think it is a good value, but beware if you need something rigid the whole length, this might not be the unit for you.

It's a little hard to control the wand with the camera on it, but for seeing into difficult places, this thing is great. When you manipulate the end of the want with a dial on the hand-held section, it only moves in two directions (side-to-side, or up-down), so sometimes it is difficult to get an orientation on what you're looking at. But overall, it worked well for what I needed. Picture was surprisingly clear also.

I bought this for Christmas last year my husband finally just used it he plugged it in to charge it and it quit working So now it is useless He took it out of box to use plugged it to charge and it no longer works

I am new to using this sort of tool. Some are not aimable but come in crazy-long lengths. Some are moderately long (6') and can be aimed left/right. Some are short (4') and can be aimed left/right/up/down. This one is left/right turnable, but it's actually high-right to low/left (The camera is not rotationally aligned with the direction of steering.) There's a video of a guy shoving it down a bathroom sink but he doesn't go thru the 1-1/4" trap; that's 'cuz it won't make that turn. It will not go past the tight turn at a bathtub drain either. When held out sideways it droops down after 2' (sort of like a linp tape measure does.) Overall I'm satisfied for the price. Most of my use will be up/down interior walls.
