This is my Amazon Vine review for the Two-Way Articulating Borescope Camera with Light, DEPSTECH Industrial Endoscope with Articulated Probe, Flexible Mechanic Snake Inspection Camera for Wall Automotive Engine Inspect-5FT. I truly love this borescope, and just about anything you cannot snake your head into and around to see something, this professional borescope does it perfectly. Yes, it is only a two way camera, but you honestly don’t need the extra cameras on the side because you can turn this camera with the push of the center wheel button. This borescope is leaps and bounds above my other borescope with a much longer rigid scope. Because the snake scope is pliable and the lighted camera is bendable with the touch of a button, I have looked at everything I ever thought I wanted to see at home but couldn’t without too much hassle. I easily and quickly looked down drains, looked into ac vents, looked down around the vehicles’ engines, and more. It wasn’t a hassle to see things. I even bored into the chicken coop to see if they would notice - THEY DID! They thought it was a snake and all ran to attack the scope. I pulled it out quickly. This borescope is so much fun! It’s addictive for my curious mind. I like to know how things work and how they look as they work. With this borescope, the menu is extensive. Some things you can do are set the date and time, select the display resolution up to 1080p, turn on the mic for videos, set the temperature, screen brightness - and by the way, the camera brightness can be adjusted with the press of a button. This scope is totally user friendly. You can take photos and videos, review them, and while it says they are uploadable, I haven’t figured out how to do that on my PC without scanning a QR code which I will not do. Because the borescope has a five inch camera, I just took my iPad and recorded off the borescope’s 5” display. This scope is a great item, and I am absolutely thrilled with it. The only things I wish it came with are the magnetic hook to retrieve items and a ten foot cord instead of five. That’s it. I love how technical this scope it, how small it is because it fits into tiny places, and how clear the photos and videos are. It’s also a great magnifier. Okay, I could go on and on because this scope is awesome. Thanks, Amazon.

I originally wanted one to inspect the cylinders on my airplane during service and between annual inspections. I have found myself using it for a lot more around the house. The picture quality is clear and you can easily see small details, the light really does a good job of light up the cylinder bore without causing any glare off of the shiny surfaces. The articulation makes getting it into tight places super easy also being able to inspect the valves easily is a huge bonus. I definitely recommend getting one n

When I showed this to my husband, he thought I was nuts and that I was trying to pressure him to do even more engine work than he already does. I just intended it for being able to see into places where we usually can’t. I have much smaller arms and hands than he does, and there are times when my smaller size is an extreme advantage. This goes a whole lot of places that even I can’t get to. After playing with it, he loves it now. It’s easy to operate right out of the box, even as a newbie. The controls are intuitive and the picture is amazingly clear. I’d been worried about seeing in confined spaces— wouldn’t the picture be dark? Nope! The tip is VERY well lighted, so what you see is crisp and clear and bright. I’m thoroughly impressed with this, and I’d think most households could benefit from owning one, whether you need to be inspecting a car engine or not. We haven’t run the battery out yet. It’s handy just to look under the refrigerator when you think you’ve lost an earring. It’s one of those tools that quickly becomes indispensable.

I've used cheaper borescopes in the past, including ones that plug into phones via apps, but they all suffer from poor focus—especially at farther ranges. This one is a huge step up. The clarity and ability to focus both near and far are impressive; you really do get what you pay for. The camera snake on this unit is superior for positioning than the cheaper units. The articulating 180° camera head has completely changed how I diagnose engine issues. Being able to go in through the spark plug hole and look back at the valves is a game-changer. It even comes with a 32GB TF card pre-installed, so it's ready to record out of the box. The built-in microphone is also a great touch—it lets me narrate what I’m seeing, which is really helpful when reviewing footage later. The screen is bright enough to use outdoors without having to shield it constantly. For $140 with a coupon, this is absolutely worth it—don’t waste your time or money on the cheaper $30–40 options. The included case is perfect for storing in the shop.
