It was time to get another bottle & I spotted the black one & I believe it helps with moisture more than the white bottle so I figured I'd give it a try. I love that this gel is light and does not leave a cast at all. I like when my hair has volume and some gels can be heavy and flattens it out. This can do that if you use excessively. I had high hopes for this product, and it’s not bad it’s just not my favorite. I will keep searching. First with what I like about this product. It smells nice and the scent is not to overpowering. If you are sensitive to scents you may want to skip this product. It made my hair feel soft and helped some with frizziness. With that being said it is supposed to be a gel but it’s more of a cream. I tried using this product by itself, but it’s not enough on its own. I have b2 curls, shoulder length, and my hair tends to frizz at the slightest hint of moisture or humidity in the air. I found with this product on its own I was left with a puffy mess. So I layered this product starting with a light oil on the ends of my hair, this gel and then a foaming mousse for curly hair. When I found out Ouidad was making a more affordable line, I immediately tried to find a dupe for my favorite gel (Ouidad Curl Quencher Moisturizing Styling Gel) which is $26 per bottle. In terms of definition, it doesn't do much by itself but paired with a stronger gel like LA Looks Xtreme sport gel, it works well. It is moisturizing but by itself, its not the best ... show more

This product is heavy on the hair and doesn’t glide on like others by Twist. It also did not control the frizzies like similar products by this manufacturer.
