It was expensive, gorgeous and perfect while it lasted, but it didn't last for long. I treated it with kid gloves, spot cleaning and walking barefoot on it, vaccuumed it gently. The microfiber underneath began to peel away from the fur and became a trip hazard on the corners and edges. It broke my heart but I had to replace it. My WHITE CAT was absolutely in love with this carpet. He laid on it day and night! Looked just like him and was that soft too. :) Perhaps it would have better in a less used space, but I bought the large rug for my living room and it just didn't hold up. So sad about it but I enjoyed it while I had it. :) There was no smell and I did lay it flat for a few days before using it so it could fully expand to it normal size after being vaccuum sealed. It was very expensive and I'm a fixed income so it was a hardhip for me to replace. Perhaps try a smaller version of this in your space and see if it works out before purchasing the larger size. ... show more

Very soft and silky rug. Great price for a great rug. It vacuums really easy with my stick vacuum. When I am bare feet, it's almost too silky lol, but when wearing house slippers, it's just fine. I wouldn't want to run bare feet across the rug. You might go sliding. ;-) Super soft & luxurious on the feet. My Schnoodle approves too. I highly recommend but keep in mind, it has that silky factor to it. I purchased mine for my motorhome. So I don't really expect people in and out all of the time. It's not that easy to clean and does not stay fluffy. Also isn't nearly as fluffy as it appears in the pictures. We take ours to the local laundry mat and put in the jumbo washer and air dry. Still, it's a very thin rug that gets matted easily. I've owned it for 1.5 years.
