I bought this umbrella to take cruising with me. i don't handle sunlight directly well, I tend to overheat easily. I needed something small and lightweight to carry around while shopping that could give me shade when resting from the heat in Cruise ports. This little umbrella makes an excellent sunshade, but it HATES the wind. Very light wind inverted the umbrella quickly making it useless in the sun. This may just be a little too light weight for what it is. The wind in port was VERY low. A standard rain shower has more wind, glad I was using for sun and not to stay dry when I tried this the umbrella the first time. If you're going where there is ZERO to no wind, it may be the umbrella for you, I just don't consider it sturdy enough to help much of anything. ... show more

Im sure itll do the job but mine came partially broken at the part you use to open your umbrella. The strap to keep it closed also looks very poorly sewn in. A bit disappointing… ETA: seller reached out unprompted to offer free replacement which came via mail very quickly, thank you!

I ordered four of these, one for myself, and three to give us gifts. I was really excited about the little case they come in, but found when I opened them that there’s a big sticker on the outside of each case with the barcode on it and, since it’s stuck to the FABRIC on the case, the sticker won’t come off without tearing into pieces. I started on my own case and pieces of the sticker came off. Now that area is sticky and I can’t get the rest of the sticker off. It’s not budging. Also, once I opened the umbrella and then retracted it and wrapped it back up with its snap enclosure, no matter how hard I try I can’t get it small enough to fit in that case again. I thought the case could be cool to use for other items, possibly sunglasses since the umbrella won’t really go back in, but it looks so bad on the outside with that sticker that I wouldn’t carry it. I think I will take the other umbrellas out of their case before presenting them as gifts. It would’ve been great if the sticker was on an outer plastic sleeve of some sort to avoid damaging the case itself. ... show more

The fabric is beautiful and seems sturdy but I doubt the frame will outlast the first gust of wind it encounters. I opened it up inside the house for the first time and the telescoping arm is thinner than a sharpie at the bottom. It wobbles like crazy.
