We needed a box spring that was short for my mother's mattress. She's elderly and did not want to have a high reach to the mattress. This 4 inch box spring is the perfect size. It's very sturdy and fit the bed frame perfectly. It is a challenge to put it together if you have a small space to work in, and the cover for the box spring only covers the top. (We had ordered a different brand 4 inch box spring last year and that one had a cover that zipped all around the box spring.) 5 stars for size and sturdiness. 3 stars for maneuverability and flimsy cover.

Really happy with this box spring! You don't always get exactly what you need but this time I did. Shipped will in a surprisingly small box. Was able to asseble easily on top of the box spring I was replacing (just rotate it slightly so you can get to all corners). Ratchet definitely speeds things up but the setup is super easy regardless.

Most of the reviewers say the set up was easy. But a few of the reviewers had problems including me. Is there a quality control problem during manufacturing? Are the reviews honest? I don't know. I had six holes that required bolts that did not align properly. Some of the slats didn't go into their slots easily. I found a rubber mallet and a ratchet wrench and a helper indispensable. When I finally finished the assembly I was pleased with the end result.
