DO NOT BUY THIS. In December we bought one of these for our two sons (11 and 8), wanting the top bed for storage. We got the bed, which was harder than it said to be (about 4 hours for my husband to do by himself), but that wasn't an issue. The issue came less than a week later when one of the main bars (I don't know what they are called but the thicker side bar you put the cross support bars into) broke, like completely tore in like it was paper! The customer service was REALLY great, they immediately sent us another bed set, not just the replacement bar, but an entire new set. Now, we are moving out of our place since we bought a house and we move the mattress to find the same bar on the new set is bent badly, to the point it was impossible to take out the cross bars and is clearly not safe. My sons are not even half the "Max Weight" of 300 pounds for the lower beds, even combined. (One is 80 pounds the other is 60). I'm not going to knock the seller, like I said the customer service was great, but the bed itself it absolute crap and unsafe.

The beds are great. Just the rails bend very easily and that was my issue with the bed for having it for just a month and the weight capacity isn’t close to the limit

This is a sturdy and well made set. It does take quite an effort to build it all out but it's worth it in the end. Unlike some similar sets that feel like they are going to fall over, this one is solid. The only thing to look out for is the orientation of the outside rails for the two lower bunks. Make sure there are 10 spindle holes between the lower bunk headboard and the upright for the upper bunk. If you install it in the opposite direction, there will only be 9 spindle holes and the upright for the Upper bunk won't line up with the leg for the upper bunk.

Lots of missing holes, we had to drill one in that wasn't made. Also just super hard to put together. My kiddo complains that the stairs hurt their feet to go up as well. The price is good though.
