My only note: ATTACH THE LADDER BEFORE THE SLATS. My son loves this bed. Only recommend a thinner mattress on top. The distance between the bed and top of mattress has a decent gap with a 10 inch Mattress so it is a little intimidating at first but he made it work either way. After receiving item and started building all was going ok until a few of the wood pieces were numbered incorrectly but we ended up figuring out it was a mistake and able to move forward. When we were at the last few steps we hit a big bump on the road when we were unable to finish due to two of the pieces not being the same length and the bolt not fitting in the hole that was made for it. Luckily my father was able to take it to cut it down for me and fix the issue. It’s unfortunate because it’s a really great piece of furniture but having to pause and not be able to finish after almost being completely done was frustrating. That's exactly as shown in the picture, I was expecting a plastic slide but it is steal like the rest of the bed. We bought this for our granddaughter 4th birthday. I showed her a selection of beds online and this is the one that stood out and she was Super excited. She called it her big girl jungle gym bed.
