  • Be patient!
I'd have to agree with the majority of the reviews here. Not sure why the company doesn't just publish the PDF manual and an assembly video up front — it's frustrating not knowing what they're trying to hide. Having to wait a couple of days for the manual to be sent was a pain, and once I had it, assembly still took about 8 hours. A few tips if you're buying this: Have a power drill or electric screwdriver ready. There are a lot of screws, and a manual screwdriver will wear you out. Follow the instructions carefully and in order — it's easy to get a step out of sequence and have to backtrack. Have a couple of people on hand to help. There's a point in the assembly where you'll need at least two people for a few minutes to get everything lined up and held in place. Use a mattress no thicker than 6–8 inches on the top bunk. Anything taller and the guardrail won't be high enough, which is a fall risk for your child. All that said, the bed is nice for the price and I'd recommend it — just be patient, because it takes a while to put together. You'll love the finished product. ... show more

  • It’s a headache but worth the outcome. It’s a headache but worth the outcome.
Came in amazingly compact packaging that threw me off. Does not come with instructions but the company sends you a long video that is difficult to navigate to build the bed. It’s good quality for what I paid for, hoping it will last my 3 boys a few years. Had to drill deeper holes for the bed to be stable but an easy fix. However took 8 hours and 3 people to put together. Definitely a headache with the video. Please print paper instructions. ... show more

  • Stunning Bed, Frustrating Start (No Manual) Stunning Bed, Frustrating Start (No Manual)
We absolutely love this bed! It looks amazing and feels very sturdy once assembled. That said, there were a few hiccups during the process. The bed did not come with a printed instruction manual, and we had to wait several days to receive the instructions via email after contacting Amazon. Unfortunately, my husband had already taken time off work to put it together, so that delay was frustrating. Also, this is definitely not a quick or simple assembly. If you’re not very handy, this might be a challenging project. My husband is extremely handy, has a full toolbox (including a drill), and it still took him about 8 hours to complete. Overall, we’re very happy with the final result — just be prepared for a detailed and time-consuming assembly process. ... show more
