This bed is cute for a boys room, but it is so squeaky, and we tightened everything up, just as it says. We have another medal loft bunk and it’s not squeaky at all. Then the front board on the front came cracked, and they couldn't send a replacement. So we had to use some wood glue and buy some wood vinyl to cover it up. I would not recommend this bed…unless you like to hear squeaking all night! (Also my two kids who use this are only 10 & 5… so it’s not a weight issue either! ... show more

I was able to assemble it by myself (over 3 days) -- but it definitely would have been easier with 2 people. It looks exactly as pictured. Downside for me...the edges of the railing and the ladder steps are uncomfortable to reach over and step on (in socks). When I tuck my child into the top bunk at night, I'm reaching over the railing and wishing it had rounded edges instead of these sharp, squared edges. And I hate standing on the ladder steps in my socks for the same reason. Maybe something for you to consider. BUT...the kids don't care or notice, so I'm still rating the bunk 5 stars. ... show more

Very nice bunk beds. Seem very sturdy. Wasn’t too difficult to put together, just took some time. The grandkids absolutely love it. I put two pictures. One of them has an additional mattress on the bottom bunk because I bought a thinner full mattree for the trundle because I thought it was a full trundle, but it’s only a twin. Will use that elsewhere in the house. ... show more

This bed accommodates our three teenagers. Yes, I said three teens. Each bed is rated for 400 lbs, which gives us the assurance of support not just for sleeping, but also for goofing off as teens will. The trundle bed is not at all flimsy and easily slides under the primary frame for storage. The over all assembly is easy and and required a two-man effort in about 2.5 hours. The only care that needs to be taken during assembly is that during that process, be aware of the facing of the crossbeams to accommodate the ladders as the directions are vague. After putting bed together the whole bed wobbles when my five year old gets in bed a little. Really hate the build for all the wood pieces. They have threaded rivets for the screws that pop out when tightening down screws. And they come out easily, I would say around 4 to 5 foot pounds of torque. So not even a lot of force and they pop out....some of the screws because of that would randomly fall out onto the floor, I'm assuming from wobbling as my five year old gets in amd out of bed from the top bunk.....not at all happy with product. ... show more
