The media could not be loaded. So gorgeous and sturdy! I honestly had pretty low expectations in terms of sturdiness, but I received this bed and not only did it only take me 2 hours to put together (with a drill and help from my husband) but it was also so sturdy and pretty once put together! Size and thickness are great, real queen size that fits a standard queen mattress. Very functional and so easy to open alone. Great value for money, if you are thinking about this, get it! Highly recommend if youre looking for a hidden bed that you can rely on. I spent the better part of 2 weeks looking at different options and this one was the one to beat. The bed came pretty quick after order and goodness were the boxes it came in HEAVY. Putting the bed together alone took about 2-3 hours and wasn't too difficult. I recommend getting everything in order before you get going cause there are a lot of parts. It is funny to show people because they never would guess that its a bed and looks just like a dresser in person. Unfolding it and storing it is easy but takes a little bit of strength. Just remember to read the instructions when you get it set up. That middle support is a huge deal. My dad slept on it when he came to visit and said it was really sturdy. One thing that i did notice was the slats for the foot are not very sturdy so just be sure to enter the bed from the sides not the bottom. We did end up putting plywood on the foot to give it a little more umph. Overall love this bed and how easy it is to set up. We have a 3" folding mattress so we are able to put our pillows and comforter in the main compartment and the sheets and throw blanket in the drawer on the bottom.

This ships in two packages and weighs about 200lbs with a reported max weight/capacity of 600lbs. It arrived several days ahead of schedule and on rainy Monday, I went ahead and assembled it. I have assembled several furniture items of all different sizes/shapes, this was the most labor intensive to date!!! It took about 6.5 hours total, including a break for lunch, the bathroom, to just rest my back, and to disassemble & reassemble a piece I realized I’d installed incorrectly. 1 of the drawer bottoms came damaged, but doesn’t impact usage so I didn’t contact the manufacturer. The pre-drilled holes on the flip top portion were too big or stripped so I had to use some larger screws that I had on hand to secure those pieces together, so I’d suggest having that available. There were a few other spaces that were wobbly during assembly that I used wood glue and a clamp on to create better stability. I purchased a 6” trifold mattress to accompany this and it fits perfectly. I also changed the knobs to better suit my style. If you can’t build this in the space where you intend to use it, make sure you have help because it cannot be moved by 1 person. I gave it 4 stars because it arrived quickly, looks great assembled, fits my space/aesthetic nicely, but also needed additional support (mentioned above) from my own arsenal to be 100% functional. I DO recommend this product if you’re handy and on the hunt for a murphy bed.

The Good: All items came in 2 separate boxes and had plenty of screws, dowels, etc. It wasn’t difficult to assemble with 2 people, but does take about 2.5 hours from start to finish. A powered screwdriver is highly recommended or your build time is going to be much longer. The dimensions are spot on and the build is as pictured (mostly). The Bad: We didn’t get instructions in the box and had to message the sender. This delayed our build. (The seller did respond within 24 hours and supplied us with a PDF version - but again, it delayed our build a couple of weeks due to timing). 2 of the knobs were defective. I’ll have to go to the hardware store and buy replacements. Some of the front panels were cracked/poorly finished. Overall, it’s ok for a “assembly-required” item. Our expectations weren’t terribly high for this type of purchase. Is it worth the $400+ price tag? Probably not. Would I buy it again? Debatable.

It’s a beautiful cabinet, exactly as shown and perfect for our space! HOWEVER…. I arrived in 2 FLAT boxes.. and many many pieces! The packages of fasteners and screws covered our dining room table ! My husband , who is an engineer by training, took 6 hours to assemble which included several episodes of floor time. It is not for someone who does not have the patience or mental focus to devote to assembly! I would not buy it again but only for the assembly part! It opens and closes beautifully, extremely comfortable for grandchildren in an extra room!

I really like my Murphy Bed. I even put it together by myself. I am a 73 yr.old woman by the way. I'm not gonna lie it took me about 6-7 hours to complete with a couple glitches along the way. But quickly remedied. A couple of suggestions that will help are... place all the board pieces by #1-#33 Around the space/room in order & all of the screws/bolts/hinges/etc on a tray in A-T. If not already in a Zip lock bag put in a sandwich baggie with the corresponding letter written on it. Organizing all of this prior will make it much easier & with both a cordless screwdriver and hand held makes the job go smoother. The instructions were pretty clear. This is a VERY heavy piece of furniture (over 200lbs.) so you may want to put sliders under the main cabinet corners for ease of moving around. It's also easy to set up.
