Update after 9 months: This bed has softened up a bit. It is still firm, but now has a nice give to it. Still very comfortable and is holding up well. This may be due to the fact that it is used mostly by my child with an occasional adult laying on it for a half hour a day. Still rate it 5 stars for price and how it's holding up. Original review: Comfy mattress for the price. Has a good bounce to it. Doesn't have as much memory foam as I thought it would but price reflects that. Firmer than I thought it would be but still works well for my child. Only complaint would be the use of the the outdated fire retardant (glass fibers). There are better ways of doing this in 2021. I had extensive lower spine surgery 2 months ago and was having an extremely hard time sleeping at night. I was in so much pain from my back to my ankles that I was unable to get comfortable and honestly dread going to bed. Pain meds were not helping me very much. I couldn’t take it any more so I ordered this mattress topper. I will say my Surgeon’s assistant also ordered me medication for nerve pain at the same time, but the first night I laid on my bed it was like laying on a bed of cotton. It felt soft, yet firm. I immediately was able to get comfortable and when my pain med and nerve med kicked in I had the best night sleep in 2 months. I highly recommend this mattress topper to anybody. If it can help me get comfortable it can help most anybody. For me it’s well worth the money spent

Based on the reviews I read, I purchased this to replace a memory foam topper that I loved but that was starting to sink and crumble after 7 years. It arrived really quickly and there was no aweful odor (that’s where it earned the three stars). However, I just slept on it for the first time last night. It feels a lot stiffer than what I had before, almost as firm as the hard mattress underneath (NOT the “cloud” that another customer described it as). I’m going to give it a few more days, but at this point, I’m leaning strongly toward returning it. Update: it never softened, so I returned it. And dang was that a complicated thing to have to find a box big enough!

So this mattress is way too bouncy and did not provide enough support. I did not feel this was a medium firm mattress at all. I ordered a mattress topper to see if it can be salvaged because who wants to send a mattress back?

I love everything about this bed. the comfort , the size, the fact that it makes me feel like i am sleeping on a cloud. This is the perfect bed for my bedroom. For a few years now I have been sleeping on twin sized air mattresses and i thought it was time to just buy a mattress but also one that I won't have to replace every few months. I love that it is brand new and I love that the price was not that expensive and I own the bed free and clear. I have recommended to a lot of my friends that if they need a new mattress then this is the one for them . This bed has all the things I am looking for on my check list for a good bed.

Buying a mattress online is often not a great experience, but I have to say, we really like this! I would agree it is more of a medium firmness - which is great! So many compressed mattresses end up being very firm, which is not my cup of tea. Our 11 year old is lucky winner of this mattress, but I would happily sleep on it.

We originally bought this mattress out of convenience, intending it to only get us through the next two years. The combined weight of my husband and I is 400+ pounds and we worried a little about it. It was easy to open and did not attack us, which was a good thing. We let it sit for 48 hours before using it. The overall comfort of it was very surprisingly good. We also used our old box spring for under it as a base. What it is lacking is support on the sides of the mattress. So if you are the type that likes to sit on the edge of your bed as you pull on your socks or slip off your slippers, it is not happening. You will slip right off the edge and onto the floor. Because of the lack of support on the sides, it also forces its occupants to sleep more crowded towards the middle. My husband likens it to sleeping on a ravioli.
