We replaced an old mattress topper pad with this item. It is exactly as described; comfortable, waterproof, and fits our RV mattress perfectly. We are pleased with it and would definitely recommend it. However, we haven't had it long enough to know how it wears or washes.

While I think this product is “nice” as far as appearance and quality for the price, I had no idea when washing it before placing it on my bed, carefully following all instructions on the package, the wash machine would stop in the rinse cycle because the pad “weighed a ton” when wet stopping the cycle. What to do? I had to put the wet, soapy pad into my dryer (again carefully following the package instructions) to rid it of the water. The package does indicate that line drying is preferred, but how many of us have that option? And in this case, it wouldn’t even get through the rinse/spin cycle. So be forewarned. I never would have bought it if I knew this. It might be my fault though for not digging deep enough in customer reviews that might have already mentioned this problem.
