I DON’T USUALLY LEAVE REVIEWS BUT THIS HEADSET PERFORMS SO POORLY I FELT I HAVE TO! I’ve owned nothing but turtle beach since about 2009 (MW2,BO1 era) and have always loved them up until this point. Not that the past matters but just as a background to support my review Ive owned turtle beach headsets way back to my ps3. These headsets had great quality with unmatched audio performance. They USED to be top notch headsets. My PS3 headset had never skipped a beat, so I continued supporting turtle beach up until now. I’ve owned 2 of these stealth 700s for my PS5 and I can honestly say you should RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION! Sad to see the once great turtle beach has fallen so far. My first 700 worked well as far as sound quality, connectivity, and battery life, HOWEVER. Approx a year and a half after purchasing. The headset cracked just above the adjustment slide (was never dropped, and always hung up after use). I continued to use it until it completely snapped (couple weeks later) then it became unusable. Up until this point it was a pretty good headset as far as battery life and sound quality so I (regrettably) decided to buy another one (the one I’m leaving the review on). Let me tell you it’s been an absolute NIGHTMARE of a headset. First 2 months were ok but since then I’ve had nothing but connectivity issues. It randomly disconnects and sometimes will not let you reconnect until the next day! (Obviously extremely annoying when you come home from work and want to enjoy a game for a couple hours before bed and most of it’s consumed by trying to make your headset work again!) I figured it’d just be an update issue or it’d pass but sadly that has not been the case. The headset has been up to date and I’ve had increasing amount of connectivity issues with this JUNK headset. It’s been getting worse as of late as far as turning off randomly (extremely frustrating mid game session) and just today I was using it and it completely disconnected and after an hour and a half of trouble shooting I have been able to reconnect. Multiple resets, gone through settings as well as trouble shooting guides and nothing has allowed me to reconnect it. As you can probably suspect I’m so sick of trying to troubleshoot this absolute disaster of a product that I’ve finally given up. I have ordered a PS headset as a replacement in hopes I won’t have as much of a headache with that one, as I’ve had with the stealth 700. I wish I could give a better recommendation of a headset but I sadly cannot and I will not as I haven’t used any others, best I can give is DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A TRASH TURTLE BEACH AS I HAVE!!! I completely understand s**t happens as well as manufacturing defects but twice with the same customer?!? This is absolutely unacceptable! My best advice is do more research into top rated headsets and not to blindly follow a brand (like I did) In the off chance turtle beach sees this your engineering dept needs some serious help, and may even need to be walked out the front door of your company if they care that little about your product’s functionality, as well as your quality control. From other reviews I’ve seen online I’m not the only one whose had issues with your products. I genuinely hope you can rectify the lack of quality in your newest products and are able to restore the name you had once built but I will not be returning to find out after I’ve spent +$300 in less than 3 years on your products. I’ve never used headphones for games before but if you gottta use headphone I suppose it don’t get much better than these. They are comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time. The 3d audio is pretty cool. I play Elden ring and thought the 3d feature was pretty cool and honestly didn’t know game audio came that in depth. I use this for the PC. The headset's sound, battery duration, wifi range, are comfortable, feels well-built, and is plenty comfortable. The annoying parts are the tiny things. Turning on the headset and its microphone is not enough to have anyone hear you on Windows 11. I must go into my sound settings each time I power the headset on to manually unmute the mic. Other wireless headsets do not have this problem, so I don't see why it's such a big problem here. I've read about fixes for this and there are none. It has been this way for several months now and, even after updating the software, the issue still persists. Another gripe is that the headset shuts off after not using it after a few minutes. This doesn't seem to be something you can change, which only makes the mic issue even more of a hassle, because everytime I stop to talk to someone in real life, I'll now have to power this back on and unmute it once more. It's small inconvenience, but a 200 dollar headset shouldn't have this problem in the first place. The worst part has to be the software. You update your headset on the computer, but if you want to adjust anything like sound levels or what buttons/wheels do on the headset you must pair it with your phone through their app. Who even uses a headset with their phone? Why bother putting software needed for a product on a platform almost no one is expected to use the product on? Just make it a computer app, since that's where people use and update it most. The software to adjust the headset isn't anything impressive neither for the hassle of pairing the headset to another device and downloading their app. It lets the user change some things like what a button or scroll wheel is used for. It also has a way to mute the voice messages so notifications are just beeps, which is always nice. The actual headset is quite decent and the battery lasts super long, but it's made disappointing by the mic bug, poor software design decisions, and not enough customization for its settings. ... show more

Pros: 🙌sound is great. Really great. Mic picks up nice and clear. Battery life is surprisingly long, I get 4 days and then 30 mins to charge back up. Comfortable on the head. Love that it connects to both my PC & phone simultaneously, so that I can hear & take calls while working on a project on my PC without taking my headset off. Cons: 😡 plastic joints snapped on both sides within a week of one another (had the headset for less than a year, and no I don’t abuse it or have a giant elephant head. See my photos. I welded them back with a plastic welder and topped w hot glue, should hold it, but come on, why go cheap there? #2, the signal strength is almost absurdly awful. Be sure your monitor isn’t inbetween the USB fob & yourself, or it will likely experience static. Even with a clear shot, it’ll start having issues at 20 feet. If I leave to go to the bathroom while on a Skype call, my audio disconnects.. and the bathroom is right there by my desk. Besides that, it’s a great headset and I would buy it again 😊 ... show more

Edit: Lowering this review to ONE star due to the lack of follow up with my initial review. Let me repeat that after owning this thing for less than six months, it has stopped charging and is now dead and useless. This headset is really comfortable, which is the main reason I bought it. We telework and stay connected all day and I need a headset that will not hurt my ears after a couple hours. It served its purpose well. The audio quality was pretty good too. And I really liked how it connected to my computer AND my cell phone so that I could seamlessly use it with either one. That part was awesome. However...today it stopped charging. I don't know if the battery died, or the connector broke, or the circuitry inside burned up - all I know is that it will no longer charge. Now, six months after purchasing it, it's dead and useless and no longer under warranty; and I now need to find another headset. And, its range to the 2.4 Ghz dongle is awful. I could go downstairs to get a cup of coffee with the Logitech headset I have, but this one starts cutting out at the top of the stairs. I also like (need) the boom mic so I always know when I'm muted or not. But this one sometimes doesn't un-mute when I swing the mic down. Sometimes I need to do more than that; sometime I need to unplug and re-plug the dongle to get it to work. But when it worked, it worked great! ... show more
