first off in my opinion turtle beach headsets has always been lacking in comfort. weather it be to much pressure on my head, ear pain or something else. this pair however changes that and is really comfortable.. the ear pads are mesh but are really soft. the added padding to the "pro spec design" really does help if you wear glasses. ( I do) Mic quality, has been very good. playback seems to have a very slight possibly crackle whenever you say an s word, I have no idea how to describe it, other than that slight mic issue your our voice will come in loud and clear. It doesn't appear to be to big of an issue though as none of my friends have complained or brought it up. the sound is great very crisp without sounding distorted. with four options to choose from, ( bass boost etc) for the price range it is well worth the money UPDATE: after first day, I wore them without about three hours big win, and didn't have the need to take it off after five minutes to stop any discomfort from ear pain, sweat, etc disappointingly there is no chat volume wheel which I thought the second adjustment was but it is only for mic monitoring. though I could stil hear my friends just fine after a slight adjustment of the in game master volume side note the headset overall volume is not the loudest but i found it to be loud enough without getting a headache or feeling i have to adjust them constantly for explosions or drowning out your party chat, . ( also could be because I had lowered the game volume) I know some people like to turn the volume to 11. update 2 about the mic. Its a non issue. Dont worry about it. .. I will update again after a few more days. update 3: I put a pop filter aka a wind screen on the end of the mic ( see photo) . they usually come with previous turtle beach headsets and are inexpensive on amazon. . ... show more

  • GREAT HEADSET
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Color: Black/Blue
I am no expert on gaming headsets and do not claim to be one. However, I do play a lot of video games and sometimes for long amounts of time. This headset, while pricey, is a good purchase. 1. When adjusted to the user's head, it is very comfortable. Even for long amounts of time. 2. The mic is easily adjustable and the sensitivity can be effectively adjusted. The mute mechanic is quite useful as well. 3. The sound quality is amazing. I consider myself to be pretty picky when it comes to sound quality. I made sure my car had premium JBL speakers when I bought it. That being said, this headset has great sound. The bass has a good kick and the high tones are clear. I'm always concerned with the mid tones making equipment sound muddy but this headset does a good job with balance. The superhuman hearing and EQ preset options are definite bonuses. They provide noticeable adjustments to tone. 3. Installation is a piece of cake. Just plug in the dongle to your ps4 and turn the headset on and you're good to go. 4. I have personally tested it (yes I do have friends and yes I do go outside) and I can confirm that this headset battery will last for 15 hours after a full charge. Functionality is not effected until it shuts off when out of battery. Just recharge it and you're good to go. I know that they are a bit pricey and I bought them as a "treat yourself" gift to myself but they were well worth it. I have no regrets. Buy the 4-year warranty and you're set for almost half a decade. ... show more

  • Newer NOT always better ...
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Color: White/Blue
After exhaustive research, I opted for the 600 instead of the 700 series. This is my first review; these are SO AWESOME I felt impelled to sing the praise. The DURABILITY/tactile quality of the power & mode buttons was the first thing I noticed—no cheap, loose clicking w lesser-quality plastic (for a more ‘modern’ look). The dongle is INCREDIBLY strong; I’ve not once lost connection in a really big room. Then the ergonomics: Both cups have a forward-/rearward-turning axis to fit the shape of *anyone’s* coconut. The padding breathes well, comfy as all get-out, and even has a gap for us who wear glasses! The SOUND & options: “Super-Human Hearing” mode is a shockingly effective and great for shooters & stealth ... even has a “Vocal Boost” setting you can add to it. Bass- and treble-boosts, solid sound quality at all frequencies. I’m just truly surprised how much these exceeded my already good expectations. These could be priced almost double MSRP and they’d be worth it. Highly recommend these for all gamers. ... show more

  • Solid gaming headphones
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4 Color: Black/Blue
I've had these headphones for several weeks now and while they are nuanced in some ways, given the price point, I think they are pretty solid in terms of what I expect from a set of gaming headphones. The pros - sound quality is very good, although I too have noticed that they do not tend to get extremely loud, but, in my case, I think they tend to get plenty loud enough. At decent volumes, they block out much background noise despite not being noise cancelling headphones. The controls are pretty intuitive and easy to locate when wearing, and I especially like the flip to talk microphone feature. They are comfortable to wear and do not cause any ear or head fatigue, at least during the several hours that I used them at a time. Why not 5-stars? Well, a couple of things nag at me about these headphones. One - the build quality seems rather lightweight and chintzy. They don't have much heft to them and while I think they will endure under my moderate usage, I can see these becoming an issue for someone who uses them rather extensively. Secondly, and I'm not sure whether this is a PS bug or Turtle beach issue, but using the bluetooth dongle to make the connection (as required) usually requires me to unplug it and plug it back in, or, alternatively, if I want to use the TV volume, it requires me to power on the headphones, and then power them down before the PS will honor the choice to output to the TV. Again, it may be a "me" issue, a PS issue, or a headphone issue, but the maxim of "they just work" should apply to all electronics in this day and age, and in this case, it falls somewhat short. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase given my expectations for the price and how I intend to use them (moderate gamer). ... show more
