My fiance had used her pair of 600s for a few years, and gave them to me when she upgraded to the 700s. I used them for about a year before they finally died and became unusable (im talking electrical tape on the top, connection issues, etc. I did not buy a replacement until these things literally crapped out on me). Instead of getting a different brand as a replacement, we just went ahead and got me this pair again! Hoping for the same quality and longevity as the first pair! So far, everything is BRILLIANT! The moment I put on the new pair it was like a breath of fresh air so to speak. Wonderful sound control, great noise canceling, even when off. 10/10 Would recommend. ... show more

It been quite a while since ive owned or used Turtle Beach headsets but seeing as how they have improved their products over the years I can say without a doubt these are worth it. I play on Pc and the super human hearing mode is amazingly game changing. The only downside to these headsets is the headrest, I can see many people becoming uncomfortable with it over time but aside from that its comfortable on the ears and the buttons are easy access. Would recommend these to anyone playing games as Turtle Beach is synonymous for being gamer friendly Edit: after some fair amount of usage the headband and earphones get uncomfortable over time and arent big enough to give my ears enough breathing room. Also everytime I turn on the device and it connects to the USB device my audio is automatically maxed out and has hurt my ears multiple times ... show more

I DON’T USUALLY LEAVE REVIEWS BUT THIS HEADSET PERFORMS SO POORLY I FELT I HAVE TO! I’ve owned nothing but turtle beach since about 2009 (MW2,BO1 era) and have always loved them up until this point. Not that the past matters but just as a background to support my review Ive owned turtle beach headsets way back to my ps3. These headsets had great quality with unmatched audio performance. They USED to be top notch headsets. My PS3 headset had never skipped a beat, so I continued supporting turtle beach up until now. I’ve owned 2 of these stealth 700s for my PS5 and I can honestly say you should RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION! Sad to see the once great turtle beach has fallen so far. My first 700 worked well as far as sound quality, connectivity, and battery life, HOWEVER. Approx a year and a half after purchasing. The headset cracked just above the adjustment slide (was never dropped, and always hung up after use). I continued to use it until it completely snapped (couple weeks later) then it became unusable. Up until this point it was a pretty good headset as far as battery life and sound quality so I (regrettably) decided to buy another one (the one I’m leaving the review on). Let me tell you it’s been an absolute NIGHTMARE of a headset. First 2 months were ok but since then I’ve had nothing but connectivity issues. It randomly disconnects and sometimes will not let you reconnect until the next day! (Obviously extremely annoying when you come home from work and want to enjoy a game for a couple hours before bed and most of it’s consumed by trying to make your headset work again!) I figured it’d just be an update issue or it’d pass but sadly that has not been the case. The headset has been up to date and I’ve had increasing amount of connectivity issues with this JUNK headset. It’s been getting worse as of late as far as turning off randomly (extremely frustrating mid game session) and just today I was using it and it completely disconnected and after an hour and a half of trouble shooting I have been able to reconnect. Multiple resets, gone through settings as well as trouble shooting guides and nothing has allowed me to reconnect it. As you can probably suspect I’m so sick of trying to troubleshoot this absolute disaster of a product that I’ve finally given up. I have ordered a PS headset as a replacement in hopes I won’t have as much of a headache with that one, as I’ve had with the stealth 700. I wish I could give a better recommendation of a headset but I sadly cannot and I will not as I haven’t used any others, best I can give is DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A TRASH TURTLE BEACH AS I HAVE!!! I completely understand s**t happens as well as manufacturing defects but twice with the same customer?!? This is absolutely unacceptable! My best advice is do more research into top rated headsets and not to blindly follow a brand (like I did) In the off chance turtle beach sees this your engineering dept needs some serious help, and may even need to be walked out the front door of your company if they care that little about your product’s functionality, as well as your quality control. From other reviews I’ve seen online I’m not the only one whose had issues with your products. I genuinely hope you can rectify the lack of quality in your newest products and are able to restore the name you had once built but I will not be returning to find out after I’ve spent +$300 in less than 3 years on your products. ONCE AGAIN DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AS I HAVE, LOOK FOR A BETTER ALTERNATIVE, THESE ARE NOT WORTH ANYWHERE NEAR WHAT THEY CHARGE!!! ... show more

    • Great headset, with some annoyances

I had always used the Stealth 600's but felt like I wanted something with better sound quality, better battery, and higher volume. Pros: - Great sound quality. - Amazing battery life (I got the Max). - Very comfortable, not sure why so many reviews say they're too tight. I have a larger head and wore these for hours with no discomfort. - Very clear microphone audial input. - I really like the cushions. It feels very premium that the outside of the cushions are leather while the actual surfaces that go against your head are a comfortable cloth material. Cons: - I really dislike how you have to use the app to adjust the audio settings besides turning on/off superhuman hearing. I liked how on my old 600's I could go through the different sound modes with the button on the headset. This one only lets you do superhuman hearing. Any of the other modes such as bass boost, treble boost, etc., you'll need to change within the app. - I wish there was some way that my PS5 would ignore these if the headset isn't on. I always just leave the USB wireless connector in my PS5, so that I can just turn these on and they're ready to go. Except, within the PS5 I need to go to my audio settings and change the output device. So anytime I want to play without these, I either need to unplug the USB or change the audio output which is annoying. It would be cool if the USB connector was put in rest mode or didn't transmit anything to the PS5 while the headset is off. - The same thing goes for the mic. If I'm on YouTube for example and try to voice search with my controller, I have manually to go to my microphone input settings, and change it to my controller. - I can see how the volume dial might've seemed like a cool idea but it's kind of annoying. Instead of the knob stopping when you hit max volume, it just keeps rolling through but makes a beeping sound. When using a headset that you can't see while changing settings it's very useful to base settings off of physical touch rather than "cool" ideas that seem gimmicky for the sake of appearing more premium. It's just not as practical. - Lastly, while not using the superhuman hearing, I wish the max volume was slightly louder. Not sure if this is because my hearing was damaged a bit in the military, but it just doesn't seem like the max volume is all that loud. Overall, I'd give these like an 8/10. It's a great headset with good comfort, battery life, and sound quality. It's just some minor annoyances that prevent this from being a 10. ... show more
