The media could not be loaded. I have an old fireplace that needs ceramic tile work. I found this gem on Amazon and this was an inexpensive, quick fix for my fireplace. I was surprised how realistic this insert looks. I didn’t buy the model with fireplace sounds, I used my Alexa and searched “fireplace sounds” and it works just as well. As others reported, the heater doesn’t throw enough heat to warm up a large room but I still like the feature. The remote is another nice feature, there are controls on the fireplace insert itself without having to use the remote. My remote works fine when I am sitting on my couch, I don’t have to get that close to the fireplace for it to turn on and heat. The flames flicker and the colors are beautiful, for a fake fireplace, it is really nice. It’s obviously fake but I love it!! I took this picture while it was still light out and it still looked cozy. Overall, I am very happy that I purchased this fireplace electric insert . The best part is I don’t have to deal with after fire smell or ashes to clean! I highly recommend this product.

We got this because we are not allowed to use our existing gas fireplace. It gives the look of a real on, puts out heat (if you want) and makes the room cozy. Worked right out of the box.

…update… third unit finally arrived and it works. Looks great and heat output is awesome. Let’s hope this one continues to work. Would be a 5 star review if it didn’t take a month to finally receive a functioning unit. First unit arrived and looked great, however the rear flames did not work. Requested replacement through Amazon. Company reached out to me through email and required a video and pictures of the serial number to finally send me a replacement. 2nd fireplace gets delivered and does not work AT ALL. Zero lights, no heat, nothing. Sent email AND called them requesting help/replacement. Phone rep said she would expedite my issue, received an email today saying my case has been closed. Now I have 2 defective units. This company is a Joke

I'm converting my gas fireplace to electric and this 26-in log set is just the right size for the firebox. It really kicks out the heat, I can stand 10 ft away from it and I can feel the air movement from the heat. When shopping for a fireplace, if you want something that is more than decorative, something that contributes to heating your room definitely go with infrared. I've also noticed only infrared electric fireplaces are the ones that seem to have thermostats. I almost spent over $500 on a Dimplex electric log set, but it had no thermostat so you have to either let it run continuously at high or low speed and then shut it off. Noise level - it's not as quiet as a fireplace within a cabinet, but it doesn't really bother me. Flame settings - multiple to choose from with the main variation being the background colors. You can have the lights flicker so that makes it more realistic. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes you have to turn up the thermostat several degrees to get it to go on again and I don't think the room temperature is actually warm enough to call for that. I will mention this is the only 26-in infrared electric log set I was able to find. Wish more manufacturers made the bigger ones. This is probably why this one kicks out more heat than others.
