I decided to take a chance on this mug press even though there weren’t any reviews because the price was right and I could get it right away. Overall, I’m pleased with it and it’s definitely a good mug press for the price, but I’m returning it in favor of one that has a few more features. First of all, the good: - It works; it seems to hold a consistent temperature and the mugs I made with it turned out well. - Both 15 oz and 11/12 oz fit well. I used Cricut brand mugs. - The extras were nice, especially the heat proof gloves Now for why I’m returning it: - There’s no live temperature readout. There are 3 temperature settings and you then have to rely on interpreting the (seriously super loud) beeps to figure out whether or not the machine has come to temperature or is holding it. This was the biggest dealbreaker since sublimation can be pretty finicky if you don’t have the right temperature/time settings. - Because the little blue lights are so bright, they are visible behind all 3 “holes” — so while the light was definitely brighter behind the hole associated with the current setting, it wasn’t clear at a glance what it was set to. - The beeps are so loud. I literally couldn’t use this thing at night when my kid was asleep because the beeps were so loud. - Compared to the replacement I got, the fumes were way worse. I get that it’s par for the course when sublimating, but there was plenty of smell coming off the machine before I even had a mug in it. DEFINITELY only operate this thing in a room with an exhaust fan (I’ve turned our bathroom into my sublimation studio) - I didn’t try it on any other materials, but I imagine only having the one size heating element might be annoying. Other machines near this price point have swappable elements so you integrate other sublimation products into your lineup after mastering mugs. Overall, it performed the essential function of a mug press just fine — but the little annoyances (and a few major design flaws) mentioned above are enough for me to return it for something else.= ... show more

    • Where are the directions?
It didn't come with directions or the 2 sheets of sublimation paper. Not sure of it was packed hastily or not. I atleast expected a user manual.

    • It’s okay for the price.
It works, but I had some experience where I don’t think it was heating evenly all the way around. The 15oz mugs barely fit in this, you have to turn the pressure knob all the way down and the two 15oz mugs I tried to make with this didn’t fully transfer. I think if the heat was evenly distributed all of them would have come out good, I used this for a month and I waisted 4 mugs. ... show more

Was a little skeptical at the beginning, not so much, but something that I was confident in using, but the way the equipment is it doesn’t have knobs to adjust on the backside. You have to do it with an Allen wrench. It looks pretty good from the top but the lock is kind a like doesn’t look too safe, but I did give me good quality for the tumblers and mugs.
