🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The tumbler press is regarded as easy to use and effective by several customers, who also highlighted its ability to reliably produce a large number of tumblers, the responsive customer service, and the capability to recall settings as key positives. However, some users reported strange smells emitted by the machine during use, problems with temperature regulation leading to damage of tumblers, and ineffective accompanying gloves. These issues, however, seemed to have either gone away over time or as users replaced certain parts. The durability of the press has been contested but customer service has been mostly supportive.

Pros

  • đź’ˇ Easy to use and works very well
  • đź•‘ Effective for producing large numbers of tumblers
  • đź‘Ź Excellent customer service
  • đź”– Can recall previously used settings

Cons

Should I Buy It?

If you are willing to possibly handle some initial issues such as an unpleasant smell during the early stages of use and temperature glitches, then this tumbler press could be a worthwhile investment. It is praised for its effectiveness and ease of use, and despite some issues with durability, customer service seems prompt and responsive in addressing users' concerns. If you foresee a high volume of usage, it may be beneficial to be prepared to replace certain parts (potentially offered by customer service) over time.

First time getting a tumbler press but this one smells awful once it starts to heat up hoping it will go away. No instructions on how to use it temp wise Would be no e to have a sheet letting you know what the person button at least means I’ve figured out the rest of them. Also mine beeped when it reached temp and when the timer was done once after that it hasn’t ... show more

  • Dont use the gloves that come with it
Like other reviews have stated, there’s a bad smell that comes from the machine when using it. Hoping it will dissipate after using it a few times. I even notice it when the machine is off but I have to be pretty close to it. The biggest thing that I had a problem with is the gloves that came with the press are not good. I made a glass cup and the glove left small dots all over it after I was took it out of the heat press (see pic). Like the dots on the gloves left a residue on the cup. They wouldn’t come off after the cup cooled down or after washing it. The only thing that got rid of them was using another pair of heat resistant gloves that I got and I rubbed it over the dot marks and that finally took the residue off. Other than those issues mentioned above the machine works well. When you first heat it up and it gets to the set temp, it does beep continuously until you close the press. After that the beeping doesn’t come back. ... show more

  • It was great...Until...
I've had this press for around 7 months now. I loved it for the first 4 months. Around the 4-5 month mark my heat plate stopped working correctly. I contacted the company, and they were quick to send a replacement heat plate. I pressed a few tumblers with the new heat plate with no problem. Now it's even worse with a different problem. When heated up to 360 degrees I was burning cups and scorching my sub paper. I mean, full on smoking, melting my heat tape to the heat plate, which is heat safe up to 500. It was bad so I got out my Infared thermometer. The image included is when I just heat it up, it is set at 360 and heats to over 500 degrees. When I place a tumbler inside it raises the temperature even more, at one point it hit 594 degrees. I wanted to love this, the customer service is great, but this press only lasted 100-150 tumblers before it began having issues to the point that it is unsafe to use right now. ... show more

  • Update
I've used this press to make over 200 tumblers. Recently I had issues with the temperature not regulating correctly and ruining several tumblers. However, once I figured out how to report the issue, customer service was immediately responsive, figured out what this issue was, and sent a new controller right away at no cost even though I was way past the return period. The new part was very easy to install and now the press is operating exactly like when it was new. This is a small and very responsive company and I would feel confident doing business this them again. ... show more

  • Disappointed
I was so excited to finally be able to afford a tumbler press and the reviews for this one were so good! Unfortunately I have had it less than 6 months and only used it a handful of times (I’m talking less than 15 cups have been made) and it’s already falling apart on me. The inside of the press that holds the tumbler has huge air pockets and bubbles in the sleeve. The air bubbles in the sleeve leave completely uneven temps and presses on the tumblers causing them to turn out imperfect. If you take a look at the tumbler in the picture I provided the brownish orange spots on the tumbler are not supposed to be there. The whole area is supposed to be black there. The tumbler is burning and getting uneven presses leaving me with useless tumblers :( also, don’t use the heat resistant gloves it comes with. I learned my lesson with the very first tumbler press I did. The dots on the gloves ended up melting off and leaving pink smears on my tumbler. ... show more

  • Extremely happy with this heat press
I rarely do reviews, but I am sooo pleased with this heat press and wanted to provide my feedback. I have used it for 20 and 30 ounce tumblers. The heat press remembers your settings and counts down, then beeps when ready/done. My settings are 350°F for 50 seconds; rotate cup about 180° and then press for another 50 seconds. I place a blank tumbler in the press while it's warming up, then switch it out with tumbler I'm going to press. After the two 50 second cycles, remove the tumbler and let it cool before unwrapping. Be sure to use heat-resistant gloves! I use two Ove Gloves myself. ... show more
