Understand that this is a $64 lens. For the price, it's an amazing value. The build quality is excellent and the aperture and focus rings move butter smooth. As expected, wide open this lens is tack sharp in the center with a bit of falloff in the corners. Built for APS-C sensors (1.5x crop), I use it on micro four thirds sensors (2x crop) and don't notice any vignetting. The only compromise I've found so far is minimal to no lens coating. What does this mean? The lens will naturally have some light flare. However, for the price, and understanding the limits of the lens, it's a really fun, cheap way to give an otherwise boring shooting experience a very manual, tactile feel. ... show more

*for the price, this a great lens. Its not going to match a $600 lens, but its a 10th the price. Nice metal body, clicky aperture ring, smooth focus ring, and compact size. Well made lens at a reasonable price. Use it on a LUMIX G-1. Take it with me often. For those starting out with an interest in photography, this is a bargain. Get a used LUMIX body and you are all set.

This is great little lens for the price. Solid metal build, sharp wide open with nice bokeh, tack-sharp when stepped down to 5.6 or 8. Looks good on my OM-3 and the focus peaking tool makes the manual focus fast and easy. I added an inexpensive metal screw on lens hood for protection and avoid any sun flares. I got this for use with my BMPCC to film interviews and video essays. It provides a crystal clear picture at 4k and even with an open iris provides relatively good depth of field. The mount is machined aluminum rather than plastic, so it can take light abuse without an issue. The controls are quiet and smooth, allowing on the fly adjustments while shooting without needless noise or shaking. The version for a micro 4/3 mount does not fit properly. It's very tight going on and very difficult to remove, with a scraping sensation both ways. I'm not risking my $800 camera to use a $64 lens. A shame because it's a beautiful lens in terms of its construction and tactile feel of the focus and aperture rings. ... show more
