I have gone through trying to fix our awning, so many times. It's difficult, and actually it's pretty dangerous, too. Their repairs never hold and I ended up having to do them again and again. This is so much better. It's brand new soap. It's not going to just break again or tear again. It's strong.It was easy to install (with help). I will never try in tape my awning. To repair it again. Just replace it!!

Full Disclosure: I confess, I am actually applying this as an awning cover over our pricey HVAC unit. I had wanted to shield it from weather and (lots) of Fall-ing leaves. Going with a standard tarp seemed useless as the best tarps you can get at hardware stores are cheap crap that disintegrates over time. (Laminated woven plastic strip tarps that DE-laminated and fall apart.) This RV Awning however, is working out due to the quality of the material and the thickness. If it can shield an RV area; it can shield my HVAC unit. Bottom Line: Solid Heavy-Duty Weatherproof Anti-UV Vinyl fabric to stand-up to weather extremes.
