This is the second TruXport roll up cover that I have owned and installed. I installed this one on a 2013 GMC Sierra 8' bed and, do to the slight height differences between the side bed rails, the front rail and the tailgate top spoiler; the seal was not perfect in places (especially the corners). After a little research, I discovered that I needed two items. First, the installation video states that a roll of sealant is included with the cover to be installed on the front rail top. There was none with mine. Second, advice from other sources suggested that plastic side rail caps be used with the above front seal to bring all surfaces to the same level including a match to the tailgate spoiler. I ordered both items from a popular truck accessories supplier. The front seal part # is: TRX-1117840, Blkhd Seal Kit. After removing the cover, installing the plastic side rail caps plus front seal, and reinstalling the cover; the fit was much better. There was only a small pinhole of light showing at a front corner. A small piece of putty fixed this. The fit is now OK and the cover looks great. The plastic side rail caps also add to the appearance. I would highly recommend this cover and the use of rail caps.

I just installed this cover on my 2011 Silverado (6' 6" bed). My truck had a GM OEM roll-up style cover that was starting to show its age and had one broken latch. Compared to OEM, the Truxedo cover is a great replacement at a much more affordable price. Installation was easy but it did take some time to align side to side and forward to back (would have been helpful to have some reference as to how the cover should align to the tailgate). The cover does not completely cover the bed post pockets and the vinyl does not appear to be as heavy duty as the OEM cover. I would say, however, that the cover appears to be well made and it looks great. Time will tell how it well performs but I am currently happy with my purchase.

First off I like this product. After reading back and forth on the reviews I came to the conclusion to purchase this despite bad reviews. It installed very easy about 20 min but I didn't notice that it recommend a 1/2 inch socket. So I used a Cresent wrench none the less it was easy. It took a little time to get it centered back to front I actually installed 4 of the clamps temporarily then closed the tail gate for the best fit. Time will tell if this is actually a five star product so far I like it. I think it could use 2 more clamps just to make the side rail sit down more for even compression on the bed side. This fit perfectly onto my 2013 Chevy Silverado ext. Cab with a truck bed liner w/stake pocket plugs. It covered the stake pockets, but only partially. Without the plugs it my take on some water.

The cover I purchased arrived in good shape and I installed it by myself - easy to do in about 30 minutes. I ordered the version to fit a 2010 Chevy Silverado long bed and it fits well. Probably not suggested by the manufacturer, but I have hauled something a few inches taller than the bed height with the cover over it with no problem - the cover had enough play to still close properly and then retained its shape and tightness afterward.
