Having just bought a new Tundra, I'd been studying covers for some time to see what would work best on my truck. I decided early on that I didn't want the types that fold up in sections and what made best sense for me was a cover that rolled up like the TruXedo Lo Profile QT. I found that Amazon had the best pricing and went ahead and ordered the cover. The cover arrived on a cold day (about 35ºF) and I took it right from the delivery man's hands and started the installation. Instructions were pretty clear and I had no difficulty following along. My truck contains bed wall mounted tie downs so the side clamps connect easily into that system and then lever themselves against the side of the truck pinching the TruXedo side bars against the bed's body at the bed lip. The only thing you need to plan is where you want to place the cover side clamps in relationship to the truck equipped cargo brackets that slide along the side tie down rails. The problem is that you end up limiting their ability to slide due to the TruXedo clamps so take note before starting the installation. In about 30 to 45 minutes I had everything installed and looking good. The cover utilizes a "rubber" flap to seal the cover at both the front and the tailgate. The front rubber flap rests on the top of the bed lip and lets in a little water but not too much. I would not have a problem placing something into the bed that needs to be dry as the water is minimal and runs down the bed liner "valleys' out of the bed. The rear of the cover also has a "rubber" flap seal that goes agains the tailgate as it is closed. This flap is vertical against the tailgate thus water can run down between the tailgate and the flap but it should immediately go out the bottom of the tailgate. Further, the rubber flap is set back about 3/8" from the end of the cover thus making it slightly more difficult for the water to get into the bed. Again, I've not experienced any significant water in the bed with the cover installed. The TruXedo hardware comes with the ability to adjust the cover tension due to changes in temperature and it seems to work fine. The velcro in the side rails of the hardware also move in their hardware groves to compensate for expansion/contraction. Rolling up the cover is simple and easy. The cover contains clip hooks and flat straps that are elastic thus keeping everything snug when you don't need it or have something large in the bed preventing the use of the cover. My cover has been on the truck now for about a year and I see no evidence of sun bleaching or color fade. The material is very heavy duty and will withstand some abuse. Note that you can't use this cover while driving unless it is fully latched and the velcro is set so it is an all or nothing type of system. The locking latch works smoothly and the rear of the cover is equipped with a piece of hardware that fits into the grove in the covers' s truck body hardware allowing you to lever the cover tight before it clicks into the latch. Overall after one year of use I'm still very pleased with the quality and fit of this cover. It was the right one for my use and I'd go right out and buy it again if I had to do it over. I highly recommend this cover to anyone.

If I could give this cover 6 stars I would! My only gripe is my own fault. I ordered this cover for my 2011 Toyota Tundra SR5 double cab and didn't realize I ordered the cover for Tundra with the track system. Received it in a timely manner and packaged well. I started installing it and questioned the clamps provided. Long story short, the clamps were for the track system, and I ordered the clamps I needed from Truxedo. They stated the cut of the cover was a little different than the track system Tundra. ANYWAY, like I said, that was my fault. Double check the fit before ordering. I couldn't be happier with this tonneau cover. I love that the ribs are built into the cover, the back latch system is top notch, you can roll it all the way to the cab to utilize the entire bed in 10 seconds flat, and the side velcro is great even in the dead of a Maine winter. Also the ribs are strait across and not bowed like the older models I had before which gives it a much sleeker look. The bottom line is you could buy a hard cover that looks great but limits you in pinch when you need on open bed, or get the tri-fold that only gives you access to 2/3 of of your bed when open (both are much more money) or go with total flexability with this cover. Installed pretty quickly with just basic hand tools. It also has been water tight as far as I have can tell. I couldn't be happier with this cover, great quality! Thank you Truxedo. Hope this helps.

Purchased this cover for my 2013 Tundra Crew Cab with the 6.5ft. bed. Quality is excellent. Everything was packaged well and complete. My truck has the factory tiedown system so I followed the provided instructions step by step. The instructions were "decent" but did not mention the need to remove the portion of the tiedown system attached to the front of the truck bed. Not a huge issue, but it would have been nice to know before getting to that stage and having to back up. Other than that minor delay, the install is fairly straight forward. The cover rolls up easily, just take care to keep it snug as you go. If you don't, the retaining straps at the head of the truck bed may be difficult to secure. I gave 3 stars on mileage because I really can't say I've seen an increase in that area due to a heavy foot, which is a result of a new exhaust...lol. I can't help it! As far as weatherproof, there has been some water intrusion at the corners but not much at all. It's possible it's an install issue because I was trying to beat the weather at the time. I haven't looked into whether it's an install issue or design issue. The last point is using the tailgate with the cover in place. When the tailgate is closed first and then the cover, there is a nice even seal across the entire length of the tailgate. When this sequence is reversed, (top first, then tailgate) the rubber flap attached to the cover gets folded in toward the bed which may increase the chance of water intrusion. The release mechanism for the cover is on the left as you look at the truck from the rear. A quick flip of the lever will release the final 2-3 inches which provides space to close the tailgate without folding in the rubber seal. Once the tailgate is closed, just press down on the cover to secure it. This is what has worked for me. Overall, I'm pleased with this cover. Very low-profile, hides your cargo yet still gives you full access to the bed of your truck. Would I recommend it? Yes I would. I hope this review was helpful.
