The flip folder is very cheaply made. The rings that hold the music are loose and will not hold the pages. I bought some rings separately from Lowe's in the key chain department. The plastic on this item will very likely crack. Skip this item and pick one of the more traditional metal lyres.

Gave this to my step son who is in the marching band for his high school. He says this one is WAY better than the one he was previously using. Easy to put on and take off, not worries about scratching up his trumpet (I guess his previous one was problematic). Holds his music well, no issues with instability or it being flimsy. Travels well in his case and gets the job done when they are playing at school rallies and football games. A win for him is a win for me so I'm definitely pleased with this lyre.

Size: Trumpet & Drum Lyre
This is a versatile marching lyre that is adaptable to trumpet and snare drum. It is easy to assemble and to attach to the instrument. The lyre permits double folio dislplay but that is not feasable for trumpet because it becomes unbalance and uncomfortable to properly hold the instrument, especially for yournger and beginner players. The double display works okay for snare drum but really blocks forward visibilty to much to be usable for trumpet players. The thumb screw to tighten the swivel on the trumpet mode is metal but the inner ball is plastic. That makes it difficult to get it tight enough to hold stedy without over tightening and damaging the plastic ball. It takes some practice to get it set correctly and may be frutrating to younger players. I had to resist the temptation to just tighten the heck out of it and that would likely damage the ball and render it useless. This lyre is more expensive than most metal lyres I've seen and purchased. And honestly, you can find metaly lyres in thrift shops, garage sales or used at many local music stores. The weight and balance of this plactic lyre is a detractor. The plastic ball swivel and the concern of damage to it is another big reason to avoid this product. I'll give it two stars for its versatility.

This marching lyre is well engineered and incredibly practical for students or professionals. The adjustable clamps fit securely on both trumpet and snare drum hardware, eliminating the need for separate attachments. The metal arm extends and locks tightly with a screw knob, and the clip holds sheet music at an ideal angle for visibility during performance or rehearsal. Setup is easy. For trumpet, slide the clamp over the bell rim, tighten the screw until snug, and adjust the swivel joint to the desired height. For snare drum, use the secondary mount with the same tightening mechanism. The included flip folder holds ten double sided sheets, perfect for drill routines or practice charts. The plastic sleeves are thick and weather resistant, allowing quick page turns even in outdoor conditions. When not in use, it folds flat for storage inside an instrument case or backpack. Garbage. Ball swivel is plastic and deforms immediately when the tension screw is tightened leaving the lyre to flop all over the place. Skip this product look elsewhere.
