I use a harness to clip on the lead - so my Great Pyrenees just needs a light collar to carry his ID tag. Keeping that in mind, I opted for a low-cost solution (2XL size). Much to my surprise, I received a product that was wide, sturdy, padded and comfortable to wear. There are extra little clips and features to prevent choking. The ring meant to clip on the leash is large, making it easy to find in thick fur - and very sturdy. The pictures do not do the collar justice at all. This is really a quality product and I would highly recommend it. The color is much prettier than the picture also ... which is a bit lost on a Great Pyrenees as any collar vanishes into his long hair. Overall, great collar for most any dog.

Many reviews stated to order up a size (or even more), but some reviews were contrary to that advice. I measured about three times to be sure and ordered according to the size chart. TOO SMALL. It's too difficult to try to return a relatively low-cost item during this virus lock-down, so I just ordered the next size up. The collar seems to be well made and the padding is good quality. At least I was impressed enough to order the same item in a larger size. My little rescue dog has a completely bald throat, the result of issues she suffered before being rescued by animal control. I wanted a collar that would be easier on her neck. I purchased an excellent, seemingly escape-proof harness, but it terrifies her for some reason. (Most new things do!) Until and unless I can get her to accept the harness, this padded collar is my solution.
