Check outlets, wall switches and that drawer full of battery's to keep the ones that still have life in them and trash the dead ones. Also check car battery and fuses. This meter does all that and much more The directions are easy to read with pictures. It comes in it own zipper case, so its easy to keep it all together feels well made and solid, not just cheap plastic. For the price I am well satisfed with the quality and over all use of this meter

Bought this to have in my vehicle while I'm out and have to help others with random electrical repairs. Although i wasnt expecting much, I'm very happy with it! I've used the ncv and light although didnt expect to. It's accurate and easy to use. The only downfall is that the leads seem very thin and cheap so I do expect to change those at some point. I would encourage anyone looking for a general purpose meter to get this!

I've been using this for a good while now. I'm a guitar technician and do a lot of electronics work. So far the meter has done everything I've needed and has been accurate compared to a higher end meter.

The unit seems well built for the price but the pen leads are cheap. The temperature function said my temperature "lead under tongue" was 94-95 degrees F. but when I took the unit outside it shows it is 74°F " it is the middle of January in Maryland and is in low 50°s at highest". Not happy about that since I purchased this to check temp of exhaust manifolds to find which cylinder has intermittent misfire. YOU GET WHAT U PAY FOR !! But having said that I doubt you will fing a better unit anywhere for $20. So all in all it's worth the $
