    • Made in Taiwan & the wheelbase is VERY narrow
My father has an older Dayton hand truck, which was made in USA. I purchased this one without due diligence and it's made in Taiwan. Another example of an American losing his/her job so the company can make more money. I mean, it's not like this item was inexpensive! Although it was my lack of due diligence, I still can't help feeling jipped. The 3 stars is for the wheel base. Again, maybe my lack of due diligence, but if you don't really look at the picture too carefully, it's not readily apparent. The wheels on my father's otherwise identical hand truck are extended out to each side an additional wheel's width. I realize that this is probably for narrow passageways, but maybe the word "narrow" should be used in the title? It's not quite as stable (side to side) as my father's hand truck. Otherwise, it's certainly decent. Had I known it was made in Taiwan, I could have purchased for less money the same quality hand truck from Home Depot made in the same place. I thought I was spending more to support US manufacturing. And I'm usually VERY careful about knowing where a product is made before I buy. Live and learn, right?! ... show more
