  • Excellent quality replacement parts…..
My second disc/pad purchase from this company……the fronts were installed 10,000 miles ago and are giving excellent service…no warping and the pads are wearing well. These rear sets look great and everything fit well.

  • All the right parts in one "kit"
I'm a certified Master tech, have countless thousands of hours of additional training in the field on top of being a tank mechanic on the M1A1 Abrams tank in the US Army ('89-'95) (now a Disabled Veteran) which paid my way through technical college. I also owned my own business very successfully until selling due to being disabled. I have a Tahoe w/230k miles that needs everything for the rear brakes, emergency brake, e-brk backing plates, axle seals & a pinion seal to get it ready to pass the annual Pennsylvania State safety inspection. To be able to find a company that not only offers a complete package for this very common job (only exception being axle seals which is to be expected) but to offer top quality parts made purchasing this "kit" a "no-brainer". Despite being disabled I very much LOVED the work I did so every single chance I have the opportunity to "get my hands dirty" I pretty much jump on it, assuming my lower back cooperates. I have access to a fully equipped shop whenever I need to do work on my own vehicles albeit I must work around their schedule. I've been in this industry long enough to have seen the collapse of quality in favor of dirt cheap Chinese parts and I promise you, CHEAP parts are a total "NO-GO" for every shop who's entire reputation has been built on being more educated/trained than the majority of their competition AND only doing TOP QUALITY work which begins with HIGH QUALITY parts/components plus countless tens of thousands of dollars in professional top of the line tools & equipment. IF the shop you go to uses the least expensive parts available I'll promise you they're sure as hell NOT going to stand behind the work they did when the parts fail in short order. The biggest quality issue I ever witnessed (well, besides tires!) is brake rotors! As recent as the latter 90's a quality brake rotor for a 2500 series truck/van would easily exceed $100 per rotor. They were very well made, had a superb finish and all you had to do was repack the wheel bearings (2WD/RWD trucks/vans), use a solvent to remove the rust preventative coating, give them a quick scrub with hot water, a scrub brush and some Tide powder detergent, dry them off and you were done. The odds of having any issues with those rotors was slim to none. Fast forward to auto parts stores advertising $20 rotors. Within 12-18 months NO ONE stocked the quality brake rotors. IF I wanted to buy the top quality rotors I'd have to order them 24-72 hours in advance, depending which warehouse they were located at. That's no problem when the work is scheduled days in advance but no good to anyone when a customer has brakes into the rotors and the vehicle is towed in on an emergency basis. Those vehicles almost ALWAYS needed to be turned around asap as I did work for a few hundred self employed people who's vehicles were integral to their ability to earn a living. I believe it was 2000 or 2001. No one had top of the line brake rotors in stock and even the major warehouses stopped carrying the majority of them as they simply weren't selling due to Chinese garbage selling for much less than it cost those companies to manufacture, machine & ship those top of the line parts. I had to machine each & every single rotor we sold prior to installing it on the vehicle for the better part of 3-4 years until the imported garbage began to improve in small increments. The reason I machined every single rotor (and drum) is because my name was on the receipt of every vehicle that left my lot! My shop won "best garage in the area" 18x overall (15 in a row) as voted by the readers of an area newspaper, so risking a comeback or having to bring the vehicle just serviced back in because of a pedal pulsation, knocking noise etc threw the schedule into disarray! Why did I include the aforementioned information? Simply because I REFUSE to buy/sell substandard parts! If the guy down the street is willing to do the same job for 30% less, go to him. I promise that you'll be back sooner or later. Every single part/piece in this kit is of very high quality! The fit is the same as a dealership part. The function is identical to original equipment components OR better as these rotors have a coating to prevent the corrosion that so rapidly destroys vehicles in Pennsylvania thanks to their misguided "open road" policy. This requires ore treating the roads prior to any freezing rain/sleet or snow and is incredibly corrosive. Then they continually apply tons and tons of road salt. I know for a fact that PennDot has to replace the FRAMES on their salt trucks (same trucks that spray the pre-treatment on the roads) every 3-4 years as I happen to know several PennDot mechanics. I've seen vehicles with rotted frame rails that were 6-8 years old! All this so every idiot can drive in the SUV/AWD/4x4 @ ridiculous speeds while texting on their phone! They wonder why the state is unable to maintain the thousands of bridged in need of repair/replacement in the state yet railroad bridges that never see salt or corrosive pre treatments are well in excess of 100 years old and still functioning as well as they did the day they were built! I admit, this is my 2nd review on this brake package and TRQ. I did have an issue with my 1st shipment not having the e-brk backing plates along with the rubber boots that protect the e-brk actuators or the rubber plugs for the inspection ports in these backing plates. They made good on that issue which is why I rewrote my review. My problem was never with the quality of their components as they truly are top of the line/top quality parts and will meet or exceed OE components and I can state that with a lot of confidence. I HIGHLY recommend TRQ brake parts, pads, rotors, hardware etc etc. An added benefit of buying a kit like this is that it is much less expensive than buying each individual component and this is done without sacrificing quality as is so common within the aftermarket automotive industry. Your brakes, steering-suspension & tires are all aspects that require frequent maintenance/service/repair or replacement. Trust me, your life is worth far more than the few dollars you'll save buying substandard parts! The other benefit of buying a package such as this is that many people believe simply replacing worn our brake pads constitutes a brake job. It does NOT! Brake hardware is not meant to be reused yet I see it reused more times than not. The caliper slides MUST be removed, cleaned, lubricated with PROPER, high temperature grease suitable for high brake temperatures and all parts that are worn. corroded, boots that are torn etc MUST be replaced. The single biggest reason I see for uneven brake pad wear, rotor warping, brake noise etc is directly related to the caliper & brake pad hardware being seized/binding or missing. IF you can not move the brake pads within the pad "hanger" (or "anchor", whatever term you prefer) throughout the full range of the hanger with finger pressure, this is WRONG. If you can not move the caliper "pins" or "sliders" with minimal pressure, this too is WRONG! Most chain store simply sell you rebuilt calipers as they make a lot more money selling calipers compared to brake pad/caliper hardware or worse the binding/seized components are simply ignored, the parts beat back so the caliper can be reinstalled with new brake pads. This is a guarantee to destroy the brand new pads & rotors just installed in very short order even IF the best brake pads & rotors on earth were installed. TRQ parts will restore your braking function to as good or better than new. Highly recommend. Kirk ... show more
