These seem like great little quality houses to me. I bought 2 of them because I have a large feral population around my house, but I've had them up for months now and not one cat has used them! Maybe because it's warm out or because there is only one way in and one way out. Ferals like to have at least 2 entrance/exits. I'm considering cutting another hole in the other side, but may wait until winter to see if it gets used as is. They are very sturdy and easy to set up and clean (if ever used). The plastic strips that cover the doors are very thick and heavy and a little too long, so I removed them hoping it would encourage usage, but it didn't help. I will look at replacing it with something less intimidating for a cat. ... show more

Bought these for our 3 porch cats before we got a bunch of snow - I added some insulation on the inside for added warmth to keep drafts out etc. my 3 porch cats love it and use. SUPER SUPER easy to put together. I usually have to have my husband put stuff like this together and I was able to do it myself lol ... show more

Bought this for a stray cat we've been feeding. The wood is starting to mold as well as split where the roof hinges are. I am probably to rough with it but I suspect it would be holding up better if it were protected from the rain. I will need to gorilla glue this to make it last through the winter. I just received this yesterday. Hubby put it together with no problem. Very sturdy without being extremely heavy. I put it outside last night for a stray I’m trying to protect from other critters and the elements. It didn’t venture into it but wasn’t afraid to eat beside it. There is a strong wood odor or perhaps the weatherproofing they use so I’m keeping the top up and hopefully it will disappear. I rubbed catnip all over it so that might help. If this cat won’t accept my offer of a nice soft safe place to live, my inside cat will love it. ... show more

Not for outdoor use. The overall quality is very poor. Cracks and gaps on all of the joints that allow wind and weather to get in. The floor has a huge gap in it. There is exposed hardware everywhere along with sharp edges. Not very safe for a cat that rubs on everything. The weather proof stain is a joke it is more of a whitewash. It is so thin it starts to rub off by hand. I will be returning both of the ones I bought I'm very disappointed, especially for the price. ... show more
