  • Great for dogs that aren't afraid of.everything
My dogs are smart and dumb and scared. I will keep practicing with them on this toy. This is a great puzzle for dogs who aren't afraid of moving things.

  • I like this product
Overall, I like this product. The base appears to be weighted and the tower of the windmill does have two screws which secure it to the base. Unfortunately, one of the screws was defective. I had to get one from my husband's stash to replace it. Also, at least two of the caps that attach to the windmill tubes don't fit properly. The caps still work, but the fit is not completely right. It appears the manufacturer has a quality control issue going on. ... show more

  • Love it!
The media could not be loaded. I honestly got this just for fun— to see if my (senior) dog was capable of toys like this, and to entertain her during feedings and when I’m away. She understand the goal now and is getting better at figuring it out. (after about 3 weeks)

  • Not for Large Dogs
My dog would walk by it and knock it over to get treats, hard to keep treats in it without spilling out of one of the tubes

  • Fun toy!
My 20-lb mixed breed dog is really enjoying this, and she's only played it about five times. She's figured it out what she needs to do to get the food out, so now I'm making it harder. I've put the three-hole top on it, which makes it a little harder for food to drop out. I put some of her daily rations (kibble) in the tubes, which falls out really easy. Then I add in some other treats that are a little bigger so they take more work to get out. For example, I rip up pieces of the soft Canidae Tidbits... I can rip them into various size pieces to make it easier or harder for them to fall out. I noticed some other reviews say food falls out too easily. That's not a fault of the toy... it's up to the human to select a treat that's geared towards the dog's level. Load the toy with small treats that fall out easily for a do who is learning how to use the toy. Load the toy with bigger treats for a more advanced dog, as those will take more work to get out. Secondly, it would be really easy to make the holes even smaller if you want to use small treats or small dog kibble. A bit of cardboard and duct tape would make the holes smaller in about 20 seconds... now experience necessary. Overall, this is a fun Level 1 toy. :) ... show more

  • 2 out of 5 Challenges Don't Work, Meaning The Company Wasted My Money AND ALSO My Time
(Trixie Box 2 Level3) 1. The challenge that has a bone-like handle - the handle RIPS OFF and I have superglue it and the darn thing KEEPS coming off. Useless challenge now. 2. Another challenge has a ball slider on the side, and a block of wood slider on the top of it. The ball slider does NOT allow the treat to come out of it. So Two out of five challenges do not work, meaning the company WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY with a low-quality product. = 1 star. Low Quality = Low Stars. Only high-quality products deserve to get sold. *Plus side: Dog had actual fun with this. (But owner is financially and temporily pi$$ed because two are broken.) Owner be aware you have to TEACH dog how to do this, which turned out to be a lot of fun for BOTH companions). SO I'll give a plus 1 star for this aspect of fun and entertainment, making 2 stars. ... show more

  • Highly Recommend Trixie's Windmill Toy
My sheltie/aussie mix rescue is undergoing heartworm treatment and has thoroughly enjoyed this toy. I have had to find ways to engage her with limited exercise based on the risk during treatment. She sniffed it initially then realized the strategy with using her paws to swing the windmill around. I have used cooked ground turkey and kibble. What fun engagement! Once in a while, the momentum does knock the toy over but I supervise. The toy has held up and I just rinse the food bins out to keep it clean. Thank you Trixie for the darling toy and Amazon for being such an amazing distributor. ... show more

  • Only for beginners.
This product was for my neighbor's poodle but she found it much too easy. The treat simply fall out the openings if they're the correct size. It was very easy to put together and very sturdy, but as I said, useless for the dog I tried it with.
