I purchased two of theses after buying the other option of manual treadmills Amazon carries from moyosoon. These are imo much better. It took me over two hours to put together the other brand due to badly written instructions and design flaws. I assembled two of these in under an hour. They're much quicker and I liked that the track was already assembled. My only suggestion is to get grip tape for the wooden slats on the track.

The moyosoon brand took me nearly two and a half hours to assemble due to poor instructions and imo design flaws. I put both of these together in under an hour and they're much quieter. My only suggestion is to get 2inch grip tape for the wooden slats on the treadmill. I definitely liked the ease of assembly especially since the track was already pre assembled. First, I will say my dog loves this slatmill and uses it daily. It seems to hold up well from daily use so far and it’s a great way for my dog to burn energy. Now for the not so great. This is a prime example of great idea with just ok execution. The parts were not manufactured to be the exact size as needed, I had to bend some of the parts to get them to fit correctly. Also the instructions are not only lacking but also flat out wrong at times. It seems like there was an update to manufacturing and design that never made it to the instructions. Once you get passed the very tedious process of putting it together it’s actually pretty sturdy. I do with this came with a break functionality that will help slow the mill and keep it from moving when my dog jumps up on it. Big miss/oversight on that. It does work exactly how you’d expect/want and I will be using it in place of walks during summer. Also unless you have a ting dog, just opt for the large. I have a standard medium sized dog and he almost doesn’t fit the medium size.

Initial review: I'll admit I was a little scared to buy a slat mill on amazon, but the price was right and there's a lot of good reviews! Pros: Packaged very well. Super easy to put together. I did it by myself. Just don't tighten screws until each one is started for any specific part. Comes with a one year warranty. Cons: I'm not a fan of the incline that is built in. We leveled it out easily though with a fitness step under the back end. I do wish it had a manual brake. I may not need it after my dogs are comfortable getting on and off, but it would be nice at the moment for sure. I've only had it 2 days so I will update down the road.

I bought the medium sized slatmill with the plastic slats. It works well and is greatly enjoyed by my dog. It took him just a few days to get used to it. He now jumps on it when he wants to walk or run, which is every day. He enjoys watching dog videos while he is on the slatmill (the only time gets to watch dog videos, it like a treat for his hard work). The slatmill has helped get rid of some of that excitable energy, thereby enabling him to be able to listen better when we train. (He loves his daily training also.) I do wear earmuffs to muffle the slatmill sound, since I stay in the room with him. He weighs 43.6 pounds, is full grown and is about 2 inches shorter than the maximum height and length recommendations. It fits him perfectly.

For anyone like me who has comfort in being able to return an item if it doesn’t work for you, that mindset ends here. From a business standpoint I get it, but the cost to return ship this back, is the cost of what you are paying for this item ($570+). To the item itself, what I got was wood that was needing to be sanded down (just running my hands on it I could feel the splinters), dented wood slats already needing replacement, the side rails had dents on them (for how well it was shipped I doubt this was from transport), & the wooden runway/belt would graze the bottom legs holding it up. In regard to the handymen in previous reviews who made this item work for them, 1- that’s great, but I’m not a handyman, & 2- I disagree with their loose excuses of “it’s not the high end product, so what do you expect”. Ask any woman out there, if you are buying a dupe product, you still expect the dupe product to work && not have to put so much work into making the product function for what you need. This product in my opinion is not worth it. Save your hard earned money & go ahead & buy the high end product that’s built right. (& yes my return request was approved by seller however, again, there was 0 point in me trying to ship it back due to cost. Even rhe UPS workers who tried to help me said it wasn’t worth the cost & were genuinely concerned for how much I was going to have to pay.)

Really tires out my mals and Shepards and didn’t take long for them to get comfortable on the mill. Wood is soft so no worries about their paws or joints

Delivered today, put together by myself, no issue. My senior less athletic dog figured it out immediately, my younger athletic dog is panicking and this is going to take some time to get him comfortable with it. I did not purchase the harness shown on Amazon. I have a great harness from 2 Hounds Design with a D ring on the back, nice and secure for my strongdogs. Reviewers points: everything fits just fine if you follow the rule of assembling: DO NOT tighten all of the bolts till you have completed assembly. The slats are soft pine, 1 has a cut that it looks like they tried to glue unsuccessfully. 3 replacement slats in the box. The instructions are clearly written by a person that English is not their 1st language, they need appropriate proof readers. The instructions are lacking a little clarification, looking at the picture on amazon took care of that. The instruction video (scan QR code) is ok, again translation is not great for the closed caption translation. The model in the video does not match the model received. Day 1 and I am pleased with this purchase. If anything changes I will update my review.
