  • Fits my needs at a great price
Color: White Size: 4ft Cord Style: Standard
I had three main things that I wanted in a power strip: (1) A switch so that I could easily connect/disconnect power to the units plugged into this (I have some items that I want completely unpowered when I'm not using them) (2) Outlets oriented to accommodate multiple transformers with plugs that stick out 90 degrees from the outlet (like this one) (3) A product that wasn't overly expensive This strip works perfectly for me. The power switch is lighted and good sized, making it very easy for me to see and flip with my toe while I'm seated at my desk. One of my right-angle transformers is large enough that a three-prong plug won't fit next to it, but a two-prong works just fine. Prices fluctuate (I bought it at $7, and it's $8 as I type this), but full retail on this is on $12. A great bargain if you ask me. I can't speak to the surge protection aspects as (a) I haven't had a surge since buying it and (b) I actually have it plugged into another surge protector. The reason that I have it daisy-chained in another strip is that this doesn't have a right-angle plug to go into the wall outlet, and I have a desk pretty close to the wall so I need a flush fit. So, the one drawback to this strip is that it doesn't have a right-angle power plug, but that's easy for me to overlook given the pros. (Note: daisy-chaining power strips can be dangerous, so do some research if you plan to do it - my devices are very low current, so the risk is low). For about the same price, you can get this same strip with a 6-foot power cord (the TLP606) in either white or black. Overall, highly recommended. ... show more

  • Trusted brand
Color: White Size: 2-ft. Cord Style: 2ft Cord
I've been sticking to the Tripp brand for the past 3-4 years. Even though this one's made in China like the rest, this one is *actually* UL Listed. Some of the no-name-you've-ever-heard-of surge protectors may SAY they're UL listed, but they know the American consumers are looking for UL listed so they will lie. This Tripp power strip works very well, and I trust that they do things right when it comes to electronics and electrical items. I have my small TV, Roku and DVD player plugged into this and even during a bad electrical storm it does the job. ... show more

  • Great product!! Best way to saveguard your electronics
Color: White Size: 2-ft. Cord Style: 2ft Cord
This by far the best product in this category on price and performance. It also looks great. Sleek design and you also get a light indicator. You just can't beat it! I don't know about longevity yet, but it's built so solid I have little doubt it will hold up for a long time. I have bought 5 of these for all over my house so that my 1000's of dollars of electronics are safe and protected. Thanks Tripp Lite for a great product at a great price. ... show more

  • Fine product at a great price.
Color: White Size: 4ft Cord Style: Standard
Surge strip arrived on time (Prime) and in excellent condition. Product appears to be well made and performs as advertised. I really like that it has a lighted on-off switch as well a "protection on" light. These additions are not usually found on surge protectors in this price range. I also like the heavy duty 4 ft. cord which fulfills my needs quite nicely. Most inexpensive surge protectors only have a 2 or 3 foot cord which is just too short without an extension cord. All in all, I believe this to be a very good product at a reasonable price. ... show more

  • Finicky charging devices, but seems to work for lamps.
Color: White Size: 4ft Cord Style: Standard
I've been using Tripp Lite surge protectors for my PC and larger devices a long time (not this one, ones with a higher joule rating of course) but these are subpar. For the price, they're fine. Our wall outlets are centered, so our bedside lamps couldn't reach the outlet. Utilizing one of these made it easier. The lamps work great. Phone chargers? Not so much.. well.. a majority of the time the chargers work fine. However occasionally you have to unplug the charger and plug it into a different outlet on the power strip to get it to work again. I've tested these chargers and even swapped to entirely new ones, but it seems to be an issue with the surge protector itself. Sometimes it just outright will refuse to power the phone charger. I haven't really figured out why that is so we've just sort of dealt with the issue since replugging a charger once a month or so isn't a major deal. But I feel it's enough to give the review 4 stars instead of 5. They're also not exactly the prettiest looking power strips, but no tripp lite power strip is, and we conceal them behind our bedside table anyway. Typically it's a quality brand so this was unexpected. I'm still going to use them since they otherwise function as they're supposed to and power our bedside lamps just fine. ... show more

  • Lots of Benefits at a Little Price
Color: White Size: 4ft Cord Style: Standard
I have never given very much thought to our surge protector strips until one (different brand) had a dead outlet, which had me in a panic because I thought the device (whose cord) occupied that outlet was dead, until I decided to plug my device in another outlet, and the device was fine. It was at that time that I gave much more thought into my next surge protector strip purchase. After narrowing down the search results on Amazon by rating and price, I found this to be fairly inexpensive, had plenty of outlets (6) on the strip, a green indicator light to let me know it's protected, a 4 foot cord, and that this strip helps filter out "line noise"--something that didn't cross my mind before. Also, knowing they offer a lifetime guarantee was icing on the cake, so I bought it, have had it several weeks, and have been very pleased with no problems. This has 2 keyhole slots in the back of it for mounting, although we sit our's flat. I may end up replacing all of our older surge protectors with the Tripp Lite brand, as these seem to have more features/benefits than our older (different-branded) ones, lifetime-guaranteed, and are budget-friendly. ... show more
