I had a difficult time deciding on a bedframe, something that would go with my antique furniture. I went with this bedframe for its classic and bronze look. The finish is very nice. It does NOT look cheap in my opinion. There are no visible screws or bolts on the head and foot board, only were the side rails connect, and that can be covered up by a bedspread/comforter. Nice construction. Easy to put together, took about an hour and a half. The only thing difficult was taking it out of the box because everything is tightly packed together and strapped to prevent movement. There is extra space between the bed and footboard for the bedspread/comforter to hang down. All and all, it was a great buy. ... show more

First and foremost, the customer service (Lisa) was OUTSTANDING. We encountered a difficult shipping problem with FedEx and Lisa was energetic and tenacious in working through the problem to insure that we received the bed we ordered. She stayed in close touch throughout the process and she was clearly committed to the right outcome. I am grateful for her help and would clearly give 10 stars for the seller. The bed exceeded all expectations. Although it did not exactly match the photo (number of intermediate posts), it is a beautiful piece of furniture. Very solid and sturdy. Assembly was not difficult, but I would offer the following advice. (1) Ideally, this is a two-person job -- holding side rails and struts while attaching to head- and foot-boards; (2) if following the printed instructions -- complete step #5 (sub-assembly of cross supports) before attaching these to the side bars (step #4) -- I anticipated this and saved a lot of time and difficult space constraints). --- my only complaint - one 1/4" bolt was shipped without threads and I had to buy a 45 cent replacement. In total - a great purchase! ... show more

The bed is very nice and looks great in our guest room. No one has slept in it yet, but it looks good and sturdy. The reason for 4 stars is that all of the nuts and bolts were loose in the box and I was missing 4 bolts. Looked through everything twice and no luck finding them. Went to 3 hardware stores and no one had the exact ones I needed. I did get different bolts and they seemed to work...time will tell. Very irritating situation. ... show more

    • An attractive well made metal bed that is easy to assemble!
I was pleased with this metal bed. It is very attractive, reminding me of those beds I used to see in farm homes back in Illinois when I was a boy. It's top quality but light, very easy to assemble. and the frame design, for strength, is excellent except for the attachment of the headboard which wobbles more than I wanted. I tightened the attachment bolts but this didn't seem to help. However, over the years, I have discovered that this ia a universal problem with metal beds because of the leg inserts used to make the headboard higher than the foot-board. But, at least, this bed's leg inserts are designed for easy alignment. The bottom line is that this is a beautiful bed that is well designed, easy to assemble and is priced right! I would definitely buy it again. ... show more
