I experimented with only a small, pencil erassor size drop and thined with water for first application trial. I end up with only a half pencil erassor size and a couple drops of water for good retention and no look of greasy product in the hair. Bought this in a pinch it does have great hole not sticky. Thought it was a little bigger. This is about a 4 inch tall container but it lasted me a long time as you only need a quarters worth has nice texture dries quickly firm hold controls frizz easy to apply and keep your hair quality intact. The gel is for very fine touch ups, I gave myself bangs (R.I.P) and this didn’t really help without creating white flakes along with the product. The gel hold wasn’t the strongest, I had to reapply.
