The case is a premium zippo. The armor is thicker than a standard Zippo. The case is well made and to me the art is thought provoking. The hinge has about the same amount of play as all Zippo’s, a little bit of wiggle until the insert is installed and then minimal. I had to put a couple layers of tape on my butane torch inserts so it would fit snugly and not lift when closed The insert it came with fit but but I understand the reviews that mention evaporation as it’s a tiny bit bigger inside than a standard allowing more fluid to escape. I don’t do oil fuel lighters , my butane inserts require a piece of tape to fit well. If I do use a liquid Zippo gas lighter like for nonsmoking fire related purposes I use the Zorro inserts as they have o ring seals at the bottom fill and one at the extra wick cover making them less stinky and longer between refills. The Zorro insert fits perfectly in this case. ... show more

This armor 360° engraving thing is awesome! The lighter is about 50% thicker, and you can certainly feel it. The engravings are much better that I could hope for. This is one of those lighters that you’ll own for your entire life, and I can imagine that the patina will just improve with age and even make it more special.
