Was exactly what I needed for Bowflex Xtreme SE.

While these are designed to work with a Bowflex system, they are the same style cables used in many cable exercise systems. My cable machine has high and low cable positions but nothing for a mid-height exercises. By adding these cables along with a couple of pulleys, I have greatly expanded the functionality of my home gym. It was very important to find cables of good quality and strength to meet my need. There are other options to make my own cables but they use u-bolts or cheap clamps and would be a crude substitute for a properly assembled cable. I have found these cables to be really well made. The crimps are very strong and secure and will be more than strong enough to handle the maximum weight capacity of my machine. While the eyes and retainer balls are a bit smaller than ideal, I understand I am adapting them for a use other than originally designed. From a construction and function standpoint, these are 5 star. But as far as value for the money, they are not a great value for what they are. That said, It is probably better to err towards overpaying for better quality, so you won't go wrong with these cables.

I was on the fence about ordering these cables. Most of the time it's hard to really judge the quality of something like this through pictures and a description. I just have to get it and find out first hand. I wasn't disappointed here. The cables are indeed 41", and the quality of the thimbles, ferrules and cable coating are all acceptable. Until I use them for a while, I won't know how they will hold up though. Still, they should do the job. The only complaint I have about product performance is the lack of information on capacity. I couldn't find anything on weight limitations. I guess the assumption is that the cables will stand up to any force the listed Bowflex machines can generate. My other issue is with the price. I have the tools and skills to assemble my own cables. Material costs would be a little less than the price here, but these do save me the time. That's worth something too. So it's a tradeoff. I guess the real test will be how long these last. We'll see.

The first set arrived with one of the cables not even crimped so then they sent a 2nd set. When I went to install, one of the cables (not sure if it was from the 1st try or the 2nd) was like 4 inches short. Good thing I had another set to pull from. So yeah, after two shipments, 1 uncrimped cable, and 1 short cable, I actually have a working set. Now we'll see if they actually hold up - I'm not holding my breath... The seller offered a full refund so I've upped my rating to 3 stars.
