  • Very durable
Exact fit and definitely durable

  • Traxxas beauties at a price, durable and rebuild ready.
Broke an output shaft cup. Sheared off the end ball. Split in half. But incredible pieces. Amazing upgrade. Very rebuild able or serviceable.

  • No more breaking the plastic ones.
They work great and install is easy. One thing you need to do is pull back the rubber boot and use heat shrink or tape to keep the pins in, they will fall out, and they are longer than the stock plastic drive shaft pins. So if you lose it you have to order through Traxxas.

  • The Pros and Cons
Pros: Durable Very Smooth Looks Great Last longer than new Integy Steel Equivalent Cons: rubber boot is a weak point Rubber boot holds in the pin for the CV Joint, so if the rubber boot wears down, the pin can fly out and deem your driveshaft useless until repaired Requires grease and more maintenance and cleaning than stock When I ordered this, I received a rear set for a 2wd rustler, not the slash/stampede and certainly not the fronts. Packaging inside was taped and barely held together, but delivery packaging was mint. I'm not lowering my review for that, I'll just return it and buy a set at a hobby shop. All in all, these are a pricy, but nice set of driveshafts. If you're looking for a cheaper set, Integy makes steel driveshafts, but they aren't nearly as good as these ... show more

  • Awesome shafts
I was debating in these and the MIP shafts but couldn't seem to find any MIP shafts so decided to go with these guys. I broke 3 original shafts within a month of having my rc car and these have yet to show any signs of wear. Absolutely love them and definitely recommend..I knowni will be buying another set for the rear next!! ... show more

  • Great product! Just what I needed
Should have got these drive shafts in the beginning, all the others have shredded and broke way to fast... so far so good and not as much play as some of the other's.

  • shredded boot = shaft falls apart
This review is for the front 6851R shafts. I ran these only once on the Slash 4x4 VXL, for about two batteries worth of time. The upper boots immediately rubbed on the shock tower and shredded. I figured whatever, no problem, I'll just remove the upper boots and continue running the truck. Nope. The pin that holds the upper turnbuckle together just falls out, and the whole drive shaft falls apart. Unbelievable. Unlike the stock drive shafts, with FIXED turnbuckle pins (you can't remove them), the pins on these 6851R drive shafts are smooth and just simply slide in and out and are held in place by nothing more than the rubber boots themselves. The boot get damaged = the pin falls out. So disappointed. At this very high price point, I expected much better quality. On the plus side, the REAR 6852R drive shafts are still fine. I'll go back to the stock ones for the fronts. 8/26/21 update: I decided to try to make the 6851R shafts work, without the turnbuckles falling apart because of that floating pin falling out. I put a drop of solder on the outside of each insertion point of the pin to keep it from falling out. So far, it's holding. ... show more
