Description

The SIDEWINDER 4 ON ROAD EDITION COMBO includes a SIDEWINDER 4 ESC, featuring CRYO-DRIVE Technology, and a 1406-7700Kv brushless motor. This pairing is perfect for 1/10th scale on-road cars for 2s use. It can also be used in some lighter off-road 1/10th stadium trucks and buggies with conservative gearing. Please note, it is not for use in 2WD or 4WD short course trucks. Maximum recommended vehicle weight for this combo is no more than 5lbs with battery, ready-to-run. Our 4-pole 12-slot motor designs boast exceptional efficiency, and the oversized NMB bearings and vibration dampening system ensure the longest bearing life possible. High-strength, high-temperature grade neodymium sintered magnets combined with a high-strength Kevlar wrap ensures the integrity of the rotor is not compromised during harsh running conditions. Worked great at first but got hot in my 2wd slash quick even geared down as far as I could. Added a heat sink and ran it at 50% power 90% of the time. After about 5 battery cycles( always checking temp and being careful not to use it too hard) and out of nowhere the rotor blew up. For a $100+ motor that was taken care of I am not impressed. Save your money and buy a couple hobby wing motors and still save money. ... show more

It is fast. When using 3S lipo make sure you buy a fan for the motor so it won't over Heath.

    • Absolutely rips.
Installed in a losi v100, wish it told me you need a new remote and receiver, but I had one laying around. Works great. Also need to solder what ever battery connector you need to the ESC. Not really for beginners not plug and play but worth the work.

Very powerful motor and esc combo can’t go over half throttle on 1/18 scale rc because tire ballon so much they look like they are going to fly off and the rest of the rc car seems to vibrate apart you will definitely need thread locker on your screws with this motor and esc

    • I'm left undecided.
I bought 2 of these one works great the other quit working in the first 2 drives with same factory charge. It's dead in the water charger won't even except it. So not sure yet I hope they send new one to replace it.
