I like this better than the original back. There is however one design decision that may or may not be a deal breaker (I haven't decided yet). The back looks clean; I like that it doesn't have the valve logo or printing on it. They provide 2 sets of back buttons, the standard smooth and a textured option (which I do like). For some reason, however, the back buttons they use have custom screws & screw holes. This prevents me from using anything other than their provided buttons. I own a set of chrome replacement buttons, but since they are designed for the official screw size and layout they can't be installed. It's fairly ironic as an individual who plans on buying and installing a custom back is also a lot more likely to want to replace the steam deck buttons as well. They've produced a 3rd party modification that blocks the ability to use other 3rd party modifications.

Works on a Steam Deck LCD model, but pressure to the back causes the rear buttons to be pushed. I don't really use them so it doesn't matter much to me.

I feel like I’ve noticed a slight decrease in temperature. Sometimes the steam deck runs pretty hot when playing highly intensive games. I think this is kind of a no brainer given the low price. It can extend the life of your very expensive console and make gameplay more enjoyable by preventing slowdowns or frame drops or even crashes. If you really want to look into it you can add fans or copper heatsinks or go down other avenues to decrease temperatures but this is by far the easiest for the common gamer. Particularly easy for the installation
