Alot of boat winch gears are cheap stamped steel and don’t align well with each other and strip or jump gears over time, which can be dangerous… But this winch seems to be of Good Quality.

The winch comes with a nice strap and hock but the main gear on the winch is junk it I made out of soft metal the gear went bad the second time ever putting boat on the trailer.
