This Jo Ral 2A Trumpet Bubble mute is perfect for me. This mute gives it a nice warm sound the resonates perfectly throughout the horn without any problem. Many people come up to me and said they loved the sound of this mute and it gives it a little bit of a "Romantic Trumpet" sound. It's exactly what I was looking for with this Jo Ral mute. So go with the Bubble mute rather than the standard harmons mute...and if you have the cash for the Copper Jo Ral Bubble mute, then go for it. This is the best one out there. The intonation is GREAT and this mute has such a crystal clear sound, especially when you lay into it. Having said that there are so many distinct sounds that you can create with this mute. It really is like having 5 mutes in one. All the highs and lows are in perfect balance on this mute. One of the coolest things that sets this mute apart from others is how it sounds in the low register with the stem taken completely out of the mute. To all the people complaining that this mite doesn’t stay in the horn, just breathe some hot breath into the bell first. The moisture makes the cork and metal stick together. Easy-peasy. Best mute I’ve ever owned.
