Description

Size:128 oz Rapid Tac Application Fluid shocked installers by allowing them more control over their applications than ever before. Now what took hours could be accomplished in minutes. Using Rapid Tac Application fluid can often allow a large graphic to be installed with one person where two people were required to perform the same installation dry. Rapid Tac Application Fluid also cleans the substrate without leaving residues ensuring an installation without contamination. It then helps to float the vinyl film until it is properly positioned. Rapid Tac Application Fluid's best feature is that it effectively breaks the surface tension of the adhesive on the film allowing it to flow and bond to the substrate more effectively than even a dry application. It is now possible to achieve a full bond in as little as ninety seconds. Your customers and your reputation will benefit from higher quality applications. Your bottom line will benefit from faster applications and less failures as well. Detailed Use Instructions: STEP 1. Clean surface thoroughly with Rapid Tac and a kitchen paper towel. Do not use other cleaners or solvents. STEP 2. Spray surface again with Rapid Tac, peel backing off decal and place on wet surface. STEP 3. Position decal. Use squeegee to remove fluid, using a good deal of pressure and working from the center out to the edges in all directions. STEP 4. Wait 2 to 3 minutes. Saturate paper cover tape, if any, with Rapid Tac, then remove paper tape. Wipe surface with paper towel.

The stuff is awesome. I used it when running a traffic department when I make roadway signs with the vinyl/film plotter. I grabbed a bottle for some piece together wall decals. For my just adopted son. It's not really a product to overly spray a decal. One light mist spray gets enough to help reposition before using a squeegee. Too much and it is a cleaner too. So if a masking tape backing, you could be waiting on a delicate balance of not ordering a replacement decal. Heavier film stick on backing it can be applied a little more generous, but if the <$20 dinosaur wall decals etc., I'd probably even cut it a third with water. ... show more

I was trying to adhere a laminate pouch to a glass cutting board. So many videos said get this product and use it. Apply to glass and add laminate pouch, then squeegee the liquid out. Let dry. Did this technique 3 times and couldn't get the laminating pouch to not come out cloudy and streaked. It did adhere the laminating pouch pretty decent, but hated the streaked look on the laminating pouch. It did not dry clear. Not sure I would use this over regular soap and water, which is cheaper! ... show more

    • Curse-free decal installation!

We have motorcycles -- not like most normal people have cars and bikes, I'm talking 25 in the garage right now, and we've owned and restored hundreds over the years (I know, we're weird). Dirt bikes, adventure bikes, vintage motocrossers and modern sport bikes all require the application of decals at some point or another, so you can imagine how many times I've applied the darned things. I've tried all the tricks - alcohol, half alcohol and water, Windex, etc. etc. Some of these things do allow easier placement but degrade the ability of the decal edge to adhere effectively over time. Others allow adhesion too quickly. Nearly everything leaves at least a few bubbles which are impossible to squeegee to the edges so I end up poking them with a pin to remove them, leaving small spots where dirt and grime collect and are difficult to remove. So, when the hubby bought an expensive set of decals for his new sportbike, you can imagine how thrilled I was to have the job of applying them. Not only was this a project that had to look good, it had to stay looking good for a long time. Add to the complexities of this installation is the fact that every one of these 12 decal locations had compound radii which required the flat decals to conform to curved plastic. Fuuuun. I knew my regular process of spraying everything with water/alcohol/soap mixture, cussing, squeegeeing, cussing, using the heat gun, then cussing some more wasn't gong to cut it, so I did some internet searching. Many online forums later I decided to try Rapid Tac. I purchased the Rapid Tac Application Fluid and Rapid Prep Cleaner, yes they're not cheap, and yes they come in a small bottle, but if they could help me produce good results without ruining an expensive decal kit I considered it a good investment. I brought all the plastic inside the house, removed the old graphics then washed everything in hot soapy water, I then set it aside to dry completely overnight. The next morning I double checked the installation information given on the Rapid Tac website, then carefully wiped down the first piece of plastic with the Rapid Prep using regular cheap paper towels as recommended. I then sprayed Rapid Tac on the plastic, removed the backing on the decal and sprayed it down, then applied the decal. Once it was placed properly (after a couple of easy repositions) I started squeegeeing out the fluid starting in the middle. The fluid came out easily and without bubbles. I used a heat gun to ease the decal around corners and was able to work the decal for at least 15 minutes before things dried completely and began to set up. All 12 decals were installed on 6 pieces of plastic in about an hour. There's no bubbles, no wrinkles, and the job looks like it was done professionally. I would have never been able to do this without Rapid Tac. If this is your first time installing graphics you won't be able to grasp just how incredibly helpful this product is, but if you've struggled with getting perfect results before you're going to absolutely love this stuff. GREAT product. This solved all my issues with vinyl wrap. I rarely do wrap on anything, so I am no expert, and I bet you are not either if you're searching for a product like this. Gives you lots of time to work with the vinyl and once set the wrap really sticks well. At first I thought WTF, I just screwed up the wrap, but no. Gives you plenty of time to position and re-position the wrap without stretching and distorting it. If it is going to slow, just put a little heat on it, if it's going too fast, just spray more product on it. Chrome wrap on golf cart bumpers.....LOVE IT !! ... show more
